Dean has said Republicans never made an honest living in their lives and House majority leader Tom DeLay ought to go back to Houston where he can serve his jail sentence. DeLay has not been accused of any crime.
Dean ''doesn't speak for me with that kind of rhetoric, and I don't think he speaks for the majority of Democrats," Biden, the top Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said yesterday on ABC's ''This Week."
While discussing the hardship of working Americans standing in long lines to vote, Dean said Thursday, ''Republicans, I guess, can do that because a lot of them have never made an honest living in their lives." Dean said later his comments did not refer to hard-working Americans, but rather to the failure of Republican leadership to address working-class concerns.
Responding to Dean's initial remark, Edwards said Dean ''is not the spokesman for the party."
Dean is ''a voice. I don't agree with it," Edwards, a former senator and the Democrats' vice-presidential nominee in 2004, said Saturday at a party fund-raising dinner in Nashville. Edwards has not decided whether to seek the nomination in 2008.

I agree, I had hoped they would keep the screaming idiot around for a while.
"Responding to Dean's initial remark, Edwards said Dean "is not the spokesman for the party." "
Well then, who is? Reid? Pelosi, BFT, Kerry, the clintons?
(Phth! I need to wash my fingers now from having typed the names in the last graph.)
Dean doesn't speak for whole party, some Democrats say - (losing traction even with his own party!)
It's a shame to see D's ganging up on Spanky Dean. I really liked the "I hate Republicans" thing, but this "never made an honest living" statement topped that! Oh, the irony of THIS from Richie Rich who suffered through summers at the whites only Maidstone Club in the Hamptons, went to private schools, had mummy and daddy paying his bills, and ordered their servants around. Poor little Howie....he wouldn't know an "honest living" if it bit him on the butt.
IMO they are playing "good cop"/ "bad cop", and the Hillary wing will come in at the last moment to save the party from the "extremists"
Ikies? (sp?)
totally agree that this was a set up all along.
He was meant to act the bull in the china shop.
Dean made a deal with Hill for the good of the party, and the powers promised him something good in return.
Absolutely. This whole thing is nothing but another one of the Dims' patented dog-and-pony shows.
Howard Dean is DNC chair for one reason - to toss raw meat to the loony tunes in the base and keep them frothing at the mouth and on the plantation until 2008. We all need to forget about the (lack of) money Dean is raising. The money's still flowing, it's just flowing to the 527s (with almost no oversight), or it's flowing directly to Hillary's coffers.
The party bigs know that rushing in to clean up after Howard every now and then is just a cost of doing business, and I'll bet that privately, they couldn't be more pleased with the job he's doing so far.
If he was really embarrasing them or trashing their plans and schemes, he'd be cleaning out his office within 15 minutes of Bill or Hillary picking up the phone.
.....like what? Secretary of State?
ARGH-h-h-h-h.......and YYEEAAGGGGHHHhhhh!!!
Char (:

Dean is a mentally disturbed person who should seek professional help. While this qualifies him to be a far-left DemoRat and liberal, this super-bad choice as their poster boy is just digging the grave of the radical left even deeper.
*** YEEEAAAHHHH !!! *** :-)
I heard even disgraced ex-President Clinton aws trying to distance himself from Screamin' Dean on the Greta show but I can't find the quote and Fox only has an excerpt of the interview on-line.
"Dean has said Republicans never made an honest living in their lives and House majority leader Tom DeLay ought to go back to Houston where he can serve his jail sentence. DeLay has not been accused of any crime."
My husband told me that Dean made this statement and I didn't believe him. I told him no one is that stupid. Was I ever wrong.
Is Hillary behind the planning?
That's a reasonable guess.
Related: anyone notice the coincidence between the disappearance of the last vestiges of civility in the Congress, and Hillary's senatorial appearance?
Can anybody recall (even in its most contentious moments) when (Democrat) political discourse was so rancorously hate-filled?
Aside: All the while, President Dubya has maintained the steadfast dignity of the Presidency that the impeached and former occupant could never pretend to project.

Also note that since she has been in the Senate the Yankees have lost. The curse of the Bambino is nothing compared to the curse of the bimbo-chaser... Slickette.
