LeBoutillier says the book will reveal Hillary's struggle with New York's Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan to get his seat. Though a Democrat, Moynihan had little use for Hillary.

LeBoutillier writes:

"Seven years later - after her husband's impeachment - Hillary Clinton decided to run for Pat Moynihan's Senate seat from New York. First Lady Hillary Clinton came to ask for Senator and Mrs. Moynihan's blessing and endorsement, visiting the Senator in his Washington D.C. living room - this time at the Watergate hotel and apartment complex.

"Pat Moynihan was recuperating from recent back surgery and hadn't been up to the Hill for weeks. A longtime Democratic stalwart going all the way back to the Kennedy Administration, as well as a famous Harvard professor, author and UN Ambassador, Daniel Patrick Moynihan was already an American political legend.

"Hillary came into their living room expecting a cakewalk of an endorsement meeting. Instead, things quickly grew ugly. Both the Senator and his wife, Liz, went 'after' Hillary for her years of lies, deceptions and exaggerations. Clearly there was no love lost between the Moynihans and Hillary Rodham Clinton.

"As Liz Moynihan questioned Hillary about her repeated dishonesty, and as Hillary dodged and weaved and lied even more, Pat Moynihan could take it no longer....

"As Liz Moynihan questioned Hillary about her repeated dishonesty, and as Hillary dodged and weaved and lied even more, Pat Moynihan could take it no longer...."
Yeah and moynihan screamed "Is that the best lying you can do? You certainly don't lie like your husband!"
The beast finally told the old drunk some great whoppers and he relented and endorsed her, muttering under his breath, "she's such an amateur!"

Well, tell me, what does it say about Moynihan that he apparently loathed Hillary for her lying, manipulation, and dishonesty, and yet allowed her to come to his farm for an endorsement photo-op?

Moynihan might have felt he owed that to the Clintons for their implementing welfare reform, of which he was the major earliest advocator.

He didn't need to please anyone, Dem or Repub, and in fact at the UN he delighted in shoving it in the faces of the UNcrats.

But as someone who cared deeply about putting great ideas into practice, he wanted to keep alive the opportunity to influence. Arrogant, he yet had the saving grace to respect the ability of Americans to make their own way in life.

We should esteem that quality in our political leaders even when they're in the other party, or aren't that likeable.

Nope. Clinton had a chance to go with private accounts, and simply rejected it out of hand.

In Dianne Feinstein's case, I suspect raw political thuggery and threats. The Arkansas mob wasn't a bridge club, dontchya know.
