First off, there is a lie within this article that must be pointed out. Mexico President Fox IS NOT preparing for the 2006 presidential campaign. The Mexican Constitution limits presidents to a single 6 year term.

Aside from that, I believe a military confrontation may well be in the wings. Not just that, but I believe our once heralded doctrine of Manifest Destiny will be arising from beleaguered ashes to incorporate the present Mexican states under our Constitution. With over 500 years of tyranny in her history, there is no hope Mexico can make the necessary changes on her own.

Among my major reasons for believing this change must come is national security. Presently, the two most vulnerable cities for a terrorist strike against our nation are outside our jurisdiction. Those cities are Tijuana and Juarez, Mexico. And terrorist nuclear or biological attack on either, or both of these cities would have dire consequences for major US cities and major military installations. The major US cities affected would include San Diego, Phoenix, Tuscan, El Paso, San Antonio, Houston, and possibly a number of Gulf cities.

Keep in mind too that President Vincent Fox is a member of the PAN political party that adopted a party plank encouraging the northern Mexican states to join the USA.

Fox's bureaucrat pal mentioned 'integration' with the US a few weeks ago.
