Biden: Dean Doesn't Speak for Dems

Democratic Sen. Joe Biden blasted the head of his own party on Sunday for his over-the-top outbursts, saying that Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean doesn't speak for him as well as most other Democrats he knows.

Asked about recent comments where Dean trashed Republicans as "evil" and said House Majority Leader Tom DeLay belongs in jail, Biden told ABC's "This Week": "He doesn't speak for me with that kind of rhetoric and I don't think he speaks for the majority of Democrats."

Asked if he thought Democrats needed to "rein [Dean] in," Biden said, "I don't presume to suggest that I could rein in any chairman. But I think that the response from the bulk of the elected Democrats - I don't imagine would be much different."

"I hope [Dean] listens," added the Delaware Democrat.

If the media plays up Hillary as the anti-Dean, the base may very well give Kerry the nomination again.

If Hitlery and Kerry factions deadlock the party and convention, Dean may become the candidate of choice. Wishful thinking here.

Blacks will give Hillary overwhelming support and that will clinch the nomination.

Blacks are at best 20 percent of the democratic party and 12 percent of the population. The last time I looked it took more than 20 percent of the Democratic votes to win the nomination.

The other factor is black votes in the inner city are bought votes. Democrats give black preachers "walkin around money" to distribute in their effort to get out the votes.

The last time I checked out the Rev Al Sharpton and Rev Jesse Jackson crowd it had a lot more to do with who put up the most money than it did with who looked at ease coming into church.

"It's as if he is an RNC mole, installed by the RNC to inflict the maximal damage possible."

Got me more than a little worried. Because if the blind-side attack by McCain and Graham on the up or down confirmation votes is unchallenged by the RNC leadership including Ken Mehlman and Jo Ann Davidson, then we don't have a whole lot of hope at the moment, either.

Hmmm, interesting idea....Howard Dean is really a Rovian-android secretly planted many years ago in New England to one day be remotely 'activated' by the RNC to wreak havoc on the leftist movement....BWaaaHaHaHaaaaaaaaa...

How many times have African-Americans been told to "roll over one more time" regarding the DNC leadership position? The Dean pick must now be especially stinging. If the Democrats dump Dean, there will be huge pressure to finally appoint an African-American as DNC chair.
