Looking at it from a British prospective it seems like sense and I wish our government would look at the possibility our pension must be in a similar state but all they will do is pay us less.

I presume I am correct in saying the private account option is similar to a private pension except you would be forced to go for the lower risk options. Have I got that right. In the UK because we realise that our state pension worth is eroded each year more and more people are having to take out private pensions to top it up is that the same in the US?
