The truth is that there is little to distinguish professional politicians of either party from one another.

Still, at this point, it is completely unacceptable to allow those in the Democrat party any quarter. Voting for a Dem is tantamount to suicide.

Voting for a Rep (in many cases) is more like cutting the puppy's tail off a little at a time so that it doesn't hurt as much. Difference is, it does buy time. I genuinely believe that people are wising up, and the dems are doomed, and the Reps will thus eventually recognize the true mood of the voters.

On the other hand, I have been wrong before when it comes to judging people. Likely I shall be so again.

That's right. We must never vote for a Democrat ever. However, we can put pressure on RINOs by supporting true conservatives in the next primary. This way we can stop the Republican party from going too far left.
