I recently signed up to participate in the forums at FreeRepublic. I used the userid "littlealex". I
was a member for approximately 48 hours before I was forbidden from further posting. I was labelled
a troll. I read the forums for about two years before I thought I might try my hand at
participation. This message will likely be removed shortly after posting, so I may as well be brief. This is not a
discussion forum. Any conservative thought outside of a limited spectrum of neoconservative,
speialized extremist thought is prohibited. The moderators and members have no interest in
thoughtful discourse, just solicitations for cronyistic "ditto"s and "me too" replies. I am very
disappointed. I have been doing reading on the internet and have found a great number of banned
folks who commited no great offense other that to disagree with the *exact* philosophy of the
moderators. You are a bunch of mindless zombie "yes-men." You would not know an original thought if
it slapped your mother in the face. Further, if you believe yourselves to be conservatives, you are sadly mistaken. You are a faction of
extreme republicans who have little in common with the true conservative movement. Your beliefs are
so weak and ill-conceived that any attempt to discuss them in real capacity is met with anger,
derision, and ultimately, censorship. Very sad.

Dude, lighten up. Lots of people here are on "troll" alert and can be pit bullish, but most FReepers are kind, caring, honest and sincere people. Just take a look at Howard Dean and you'll see why some are so on edge here. YEAHHHHGH!

This poster, Alex ("littlealex2") claims to have posted messages on freerepublic and then been disappointed by the responses. I did a search and this one complaint appears to be the only posting by "littlealex2". In the absense of further evidence, it appears the truth of this posting is suspect.
If littlealex2 indeed read freerepublic for 2 years, as claimed, how could he be surprised by anything? And what part of "free" doesn't he understand? People are free on this board to post just about anything they wish, including criticisms of what he (allegedly) posted.
If he wishes to find a board that truly censors, try being a conservative poster on a Liberal board such as "left2right"--billed as an open forum for people of all ideologies, by the way. I can speak from personal experience how quickly a conservative is banned on that.
They let me stay...........go figure....they must not be ALL that bad....;) The front page says JUMP IN....so I did.....maybe that was the problem you hesitated....I dunno????

And there is NO way I can be labeled a 'run-of-the-mill' poster, lol! Try to lighten up, both in your postings and the sensitivity of your subcutaneaus pain receptors to external stimili. You could always raise your manipulative members above your main sensory clustor as a conciliatory response (i.e., Le French Gesture) to the more ardent speakers among us FReepers.
