That's money that used to float in the US economy that no longer does. It used to enrich American citizens, creating jobs and a booming economy. And we're drained of it year after year.

Looks like there's way too many illegals in the US.

Gosh... who woulda' thunk it.

Well you better also condemn those people who buy gasoline. That money goes straight to Opec.

At least those people sending that money back for the most part are doing jobs that benefits the American economy(i.e building building, making beds, picking food, etc.etc)

The liberal conservatives, illegal aliens,Islam, narco terrorism, violent crime, socialism, and moral decay are taking us down...

The cure of course is Christ...but we reject Him

(see history of Israel...though they have a covenent relationship America does not)

Bye Bye Miss American Pie

"how many legal Americans would that have supported in jobs and other necessities?"

And how much tax revenue does that account for?

Unlike the OPEC purchases (where we obtain physical goods for our money), the money that goes out benefits us very little that I can see.

This money would escape a National Sales Tax.

It doesn't say these are illegal immigrants? I am confused. Are we talking about legal immigrants that are sending money back home? Maybe I didn't read far enough.

The illegals are keeping wages low. That really hurts the efforts of legal immigrants to realize the American dream. This is the Mexicanization of America.

How much in medical bills are the disease infested illegals running up? A lot!

You think they are working for $24 an hour? Bwahahaha. Come to Vegas, one of the fastest growing cities. The illegals are all working far below $24, and drive out Americans so there are for example now few non-hispanic drywallers.

Illegals are lawbreakers, they destroy OSHA standards, workers comp, minimum wage, they REFUSE to speak English, and then tey send their money to Mexico. Dream on Dane.

Dane, please post your addresss so I know where to send illegals who want to freeload on saps.

As if illegal immigrants are the only ones who will do those jobs...

i worked construction for 5 years. that is until i moved and couldn't get hired. apparently i was too white.

i have a part time job working in lawncare.

americans will do the jobs. they just won't put up with the slave wages, no breaks (even for lunch), and lack of respect.

Well at least my "dreaming" is not knee jerk hyperbole.

And BTW, your above sounds like a laundry list of a disgruntled union leader.

Seems with Vegas booming, that something is going right.

Devastating our economy year after year, probably going to fund terrorism overseas, killing other people's children.

That's money drained out of our economy in addition to the money that is drained in social services, schools, etc. This is getting really out of hand and they had better put a stop to it.

Wealth creation knows no limit. It is not a zero sum game except in socialist nations where government limits growth and increases poverty as a result in the long term.

Chances are the money returns here ultimately to buy something we make, import, or manage. And think of it: such money may be unreported income, depriving the Washington sucking spending machine of funds it cannot spend. If the U.S. becomes a new wealth source for third world nations, they will support policies that enrich us and them.

With a screen name of "woman biologist" I doubt you worked construction.

This money would escape a National Sales Tax.

About half of the illegals work in the underground economy so this money has escaped all kinds of taxes.

We should put a heavy tax on these transfers by non-citizens to recoup some of the free ride they have been taking on the backs of American taxpayers. It would also serve as a disincentive to come here.
