"The result of such gentic cloning around will be a grizzly site. I bet den bucks it won't work. And if it does, sow what?"

I agree. When it comes to genetic manipulation, I tend to go nuclear. As I've stated elsewhere, tampering with the species in question is especially treacherous, because you know as well as I, that even if it's all confined to the la-bear-tory for now, everyone will want to start homebruin and it's well known that just that first bear has led to the ruin of many hives.

Could cloned Neanderthals vote in US elections?

Not only could they vote, they could be Press Secretary under the Clinton administration:

Thanks to everyone who posted images.

With my eyes, and this 15-inch LCD screen, I guess I'm just not up to scratch. For me to properly see a graphic, it needs to be high-res and large.

That “appetizer” is more like an hors d'oeuvre.

The cave bear was once common in Europe but died out about 10,000 years ago, when the forests shrank at the end of the Ice Age. .

I would not mind baring all for Ursula, and she has my permission to do whatever she pleases with my DNA...

and in the Slavic languages the word for bear meant "the honey eater"

That's why bears are so sweet and cute.

Next we will be hearing about how the Feds should be funding DNA research on extinct animals.

Of course, if these guys were the latest and greatest...they would still be alive.
