American jailers at the Guantanamo prison base for foreign terrorism suspects splashed a Koran with urine, kicked and stepped on the Islamic holy book and soaked it in water, the US Military said on Friday.

US Southern Command, responsible for the prision at the US Naval base at Guananamo bay, Cuba, described for the first time five cases of 'mishandling' of the Koran by US personnel confirmed by a newly completed military inquiry, said officials in a statement.

LOL....you've got to be joking....do you really think people care what your puny opinion is?

The fact remains...spraying a disinfectant on a book cannot be compared to Pearl Harbor or 9/11. Period.

None of this gives us the right to abuse a symbol of religion for 1.5 billion people. You are being illogical and absurd - just like the typical, illiterate republican.

I'm quite literate, but thanks.

Who said it's about rights to abuse? You've got it all wrong. It's about a little bit of *perspective*.

This is about 1.5 BILLION people as you say, that think it is perfectly acceptable -- in fact required -- to stone a woman to death over a period of *hours* for the crime of being found in some other man's home without a chaperone.

And yet I'm supposed to care what happens to some book published by Simon & Shuster and provided for free to people who hate the mere fact that I exist. Sorry... but no I don't really care about that. That they react so off the charts to such things is merely indicative of the insanity of their lives.

I'm not buying that "my husband" BS for a second.
And as for the "right" to abuse the q'ran, that bit of cultural tradition was validated long before you were born.

I need your permission like you need to smoke more dope.

See ya. Don't let the door hitya...

B.S. Doc. May I call you Doc? Moral equivalence doesn't work on this sight. Sometime, somewhere a Christian mistreated a muslim so who are we to cast stones? What a load of crap. Talk to any person who will truthfully speak to you about the situation in muslim countries. The radicals have widespread support across the world of islam. If they didn't, they would have been flushed out and exterminated long ago.

Have we possibly uncovered a troll?

Ramius said "Imagine a scene in 1944, of the New York Times running a top-of-the-fold headline charging that U.S. Soldiers in Europe were being accused of urinating on a copy of Mein Kampf."

Here is what zygoat said in post #49

"To hell with it then. Yeah, you murdering bunch of moon rock worshipping idiots-this is what we think of your "holy" book. You gonna riot and kill more of each other in your feigned outrage? By all means, may the force be with ya and all that shit. Pass out extra ammo to our troopers and tell them to be hyper-vigilant. If there are any people who aren't aware that were engaged in a Holy war yet, they soon will be. Thanks to the liberal media."

------
good example.... I agree with both of you! this should make it obvious to everyone we are in a holy war against Islam. What do people here think about making it official to clear the air? If Bush thought he had the backing of Congress I am sure he would try and get a Declaration of War passed.

I proudly proclaim, in the words of our Christian President, BRING IT ON!!!!!

Do you suggest we start this "purge" by snuffing you out?

I agree with my fellows here that you seem to have a certain subversive intention.

Muslims are also getting their wish--their plan is working SO FAR--

They want to take down America from within, using our freedoms and laws against us---

The MSM, and the dems are playing right into their hands...they are, together, combining to create a "perfect storm" over something that shouldn't have even had ink wasted on it...but, already you have John Kerry and that other loser, Ralph Nader, using this kind of overblown rhetoric to try to get Bush impeached....

Now, at the risk of making one newbie angry, I think Bush is the ONLY head of state that "gets it" and is very aware of the ramifications of these terrorists getting any more propaganda handed to them by the MSM and the dems...

When President Bush said the other day that it doesn't take doing something to a book, to cause these people to become terrorists, he was letting the world know that HE gets it.

I wish NOW he would get on TV and tell the world that since the Korans have caused the Muslims so much "emotional trauma" in Gitmo, that he is ordering the Military to remove andy and all copies, so that they will no longer be desecrated by the prisoners----since there have 15 documented cases of prisoner abuses of the Koran...

Imagine a scene in 1944, of the New York Times running a top-of-the-fold headline charging that U.S. Soldiers in Europe were being accused of urinating on a copy of Mein Kampf.

Don't give them any ideas; they are truly desperate and already dredged up an 80 year-old story about sterilizing model sterling normal citizens...

So 60-year-old story would be very attractive.

Wow, that's a super intelligent response. No logic, no debate, just nasty stupidity.

I agree with my fellows here that you seem to have a certain subversive intention.

Considering the intellectual content of the first part of your post, I'm not surprised.

Agreed. Whoever suggested such a thing would be a troll. I never did, so you aren't talking about me.

Seeing how I used the same argument against moral equivalence elsewhere here tonight, your bizarre twisting of my point is rather curious.

Which Christians murdered thousands of innocent people by crashing planes into buildings and supporting homicide bombers in the middle east and asia?

None that I know of. When exactly did I suggest Christians had done any such thing? When did I suggest they'd done ANYthing on the level of the jihadists?

Your argument would make more sense if addressed to someone who holds those beliefs. Misreading what I write doesn't cut it.

The Leftist MSM and Dems have mistakenly (due to their massive niavete) fallen for the siren song from the monstrous Islamists -- "The enemy of my enemy is my friend". This is of course ludicrous. Were the democratic West to be subverted by a combination of socilaism and islamism, and were the islamists to gain hold, the Leftists would all be lying on the floor, gurgling in their own blood, laboring and gasping for their last breaths, and wondering "why?".

I do believe that the trolls are now coming in in pairs.
But they can't seem to have figured out that the talking points they received can't be just thrown out shotgun fashion.

Hint: if the thread is about q'rans, Bush's economic failures are simply an indicator that some people are way out of their depth.

Uh, did you actually READ my post before replying? Because you're simply inventing stuff I supposedly said. I'll reply if you can quote where I suggested any Christian did anything on the level of suicide bombing. One quote will suffice.

And no, saying that Christians have not snuffed out all the bad Christians--a simple fact-- don't cut it. If you're looking for a fight, try picking one with someone who actually says the things you claim I said.
