Welsh singing star Charlotte Church branded US President George Bush "a right weirdo" and opera legend Pavarotti a "big fat diva", it has been reported.

The singer took a swipe at the famous men during an appearance on Glasgow-based Clyde 1 radio to promote her new single, Crazy Chick.

Church, 19, said gaffe-prone Bush had no idea where Wales was when she met him after performing for outgoing President Bill Clinton in Washington in 2000.

Just did a google.com search using "advanced". I got over 400,000 references for "Charlotte Church", and of those over 40,000 showed up for "naked" as well. First two references were commercial sites peddling her "boobs".

You're forgetting the well known "Welcher" who won't pay a lost bet or a debt. I knew a guy who 'Welched' on a big debt to some of the boys in Vegas, and the best guess at the time (1966) was that he was napping in a shallow hole somewhere in the desert between Barstow and Vegas.

I imagine it's just another word we can no longer use as it's probably not PC.

You may remember that just after 9/11 Charlotte Church accused Americans of overreacting to the destruction of the WTC when she was bumped off one of the network TV morning shows so they could put on a group of NYC firemen who had been at Ground Zero the day the towers were destroyed.

IF, and that's a big "IF", Bush asked her that, I would bet he was only kidding with her. She probably knows nothing about President Bush's personality, and doesn't have enough sense to know when someone is 'putting her on'. About the only thing she's done lately that I like is, "The Prayer" with Josh Groban.
