Welsh singing star Charlotte Church branded US President George Bush "a right weirdo" and opera legend Pavarotti a "big fat diva", it has been reported.
The singer took a swipe at the famous men during an appearance on Glasgow-based Clyde 1 radio to promote her new single, Crazy Chick.
Church, 19, said gaffe-prone Bush had no idea where Wales was when she met him after performing for outgoing President Bill Clinton in Washington in 2000.
I know he's known for years about St David's Day (Welsh holiday)
Ill say it again, Charlotte Church is a little meglomanical liar.
And I dont think shell get nicer and mor ehonest as she gets older.
God help us all.
Bush Offers St David's Day Greetings to Welsh
By Vicky Shaw, PA
US President George Bush today sent a special message to the people of Wales, ahead of St Davids Day.
The president offered his greetings on behalf of the American people, to the country, which celebrates its patron saint tomorrow.
In his message, the American leader talked of the many contributions made by the Welsh to the international community.
He described the historic links, common values and shared ideals of the two nations.
President Bush said: I send greetings to the people of Wales as you celebrate St Davids Day.
This occasion is an opportunity to recognise your many contributions to the international community and to honour your rich history and culture.
For more than two centuries, Wales and the United States have been linked by family, friendship, and common values.
Welsh Americans have helped settle the American frontier, build our cities, and defend our liberty.
Their dedication to faith and family has strengthened our communities and enriched our Nations character.
The president cited famous Welsh Americans whom he said had strengthened the country.
From the inspiring literature of Harriet Beecher Stowe to the sharp wit of Bob Hope and the creative architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, the names and accomplishments of Welsh Americans are familiar, he said.
These and millions of other Welsh Americans have made our country better and stronger.
Today, our two lands remain committed to shared ideals of liberty. We continued to stand together to advance peace and democracy around the world.
On behalf of the American people, Laura and I wish all Welsh people, within Wales and throughout the world, a joyous St Davids Day.
Exactly. President Bush had no idea who she is and most likely thought she lived in the U.S. Sounds like that really got her p.o'd. Now who's the diva?
NO IPOD SPACE FOR YOU!!!
It's Bush's fault! Charlotte Church told me.
He asked me what state Wales was in. I said: Its its own country next to England, actually Mr Bush.
It's Mr. President to you, you little brat. MR. PRESIDENT!!
Yeah, and with her operatic voice, I'd say she's on her way to being fitted for a Wagnerian horned Viking helmet.
