Charlotte Church: Bush Is a Weirdo (Brit with the voice of an angel - and the brain of a mollusk)
The Trinity Mirror [UK] ^ | June 3, 2003 | Unattributed

Posted on 06/03/2005 4:40:21 PM PDT by quidnunc

Welsh singing star Charlotte Church branded US President George Bush "a right weirdo" and opera legend Pavarotti a "big fat diva", it has been reported.

The singer took a swipe at the famous men during an appearance on Glasgow-based Clyde 1 radio to promote her new single, Crazy Chick.

Church, 19, said gaffe-prone Bush had no idea where Wales was when she met him after performing for outgoing President Bill Clinton in Washington in 2000.

My only question is, does she base her opinion on MSM representations or has she ever met him?

If I judged the President by the way he is represented in the Brit media, I would think him an retarded orangutan too.

I suspect she is not very smart, or at least very well educated. I had an English student work for me a few years ago and while I really liked him, his education was pretty weak

Probably just as bad as ours.

She can sing tho.

Michelle Malkin is a huge fan of hers. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall and seen the look on Michelle's face when news of this crossed her desk.

Charlotte Church: Bush Is A Right Weirdo

Welsh singing star Charlotte Church branded US President George Bush “a right weirdo” and opera legend Pavarotti a “big fat diva”, it was reported today.

“Clinton was lovely, in tune with everyone else, but George Bush just hasn’t got a clue what he’s doing,” she said, according to the Daily Record.

“He asked me what state Wales was in. I said: ‘It’s its own country next to England, actually Mr Bush.’

“If he doesn’t know the rest of the countries in Europe, he could at least know what’s in his own country. I’m really worried about it. He’s a right weirdo.”

The Voice of an Angel star said Pavarotti had been “horrible” to her when she was due to sing with him at London’s Hyde Park in front of 75,000 people.

“He was horrible, really nasty. He was a pig and I was supposed to do a duet with him. He was like, ‘You have to sing the mezzo.’ I said: ‘I am a soprano. How am I supposed to sing the mezzo?’ And he said: ‘You don’t sing with me then.’ “

He sent me out of his dressing room. I was only 15 — devastated. Pavarotti is a big fat diva.

Yo, i'm from the UK, Church started her career as a quoir girl, made millions and faded into wealthy obscurity, until she turned 16, decided she wanted to be famous again, and ditched her angelic image by getting wasted and screwing rudeboys, and hasn't been out of the papers since. Shes an example to us all! :)

"...its not known for much."
True, but it has many acclaimed actors--Dick Burton, Anthony Hopkins, Timothy Dalton, that Jude Law kid.
And more importantly it is a beautiful country--with much cooler castles than England.

Bush had no idea where Wales was

Bush was later heard to remark, "Exactly why that little gal was askin' me about whales at that particular moment, I have no idea...I think she's a little (whispers) touched in the head."
