Too true I am afraid and in some ways this hurts GWB more than if they were attacking him because they are attacking someone whom he holds in great regard both personally and professionally.

The left are making capital out of this because they have managed (in their mind) to tarnish Dick Cheney's reputation so more dirt they can throw that way they see as victory. Yet I suspect as with the UK the average non political person in the US would just about be able to tell you that Dick Cheney was Vice President and that is probably because they remember their ballot paper from last November. Correct me if I am wrong but in the UK most people struggle to name the key members of Blair Cabinet.

The left get tied up in their little petty arguments and fail to see the bigger picture which is protecting America and in this case the rest of the world from an evil dictator.

Interesting b/c Fox News t'other day said that N. Korea praised Bush's remarks in the Rose Garden last week. The reason? In his remarks he referred to Kim Jong ILL as "Mr. Kim Jong Il."

In other words, we are not dealing with a rational national force and leadership.

Our diplomatic efforts with nations like this remind me of what POW's in Communist countries have gone through, trying to figure out their captors and how to stay alive while being tortured. It's difficult to find a way to win until the leadership is replaced with something better. It's amazing the roadblocks that disappear after that.

I haven't been here very much . . . just really, really busy with house stuff, cattle, etc., etc., etc. My parents were here a few weeks ago putting shelves and desks in my new office . . . just "life" I guess, has been keeping us busy. In a good way, at least mostly.

Yes, camel jockeys are camel racers. The problem is these are not grown men, but little boys who are kept basically as slaves.

They are almost always under ten years old and live in often horrible conditions. The kids are often injured or killed.

They are supposed to be using robot jockeys next year in Dubai.
