A happy ending would have been TWO perps shot twice in the torso and once in the head

The victim will likely be: At least he was called a victim, consistently too. Now if they'd just have called his assailants that, rather than "gunmen". Sounds like the defender is a real gunman.

I can't wait for a full report from Amnesty International and the ACLU.

If concealed-carry permits can save 'one child's life' it is worth it. Take that you stupid libs.

Several years ago, a clerk in a convenience store nailed a would-be robber, hitting him three times with his 9mm.
Perp lived.
I went down to the store, shook his hand, and gave him a box of the best hollowpoints money can buy in case there was a "next time".

SO....I have to ask, what if he didn't have a "permit"? Would he be considered a criminal for protecting himself?
If you need a permit, your just saying you need permission from the government to protect yourself.
FUGETTABOUTIT!! I'll stick with the 2nd amendment and forego the permit. Call me crazy!!

G32: that's the `flat' .45? I'm looking at both a Glock 17 and CZ P-01.
Glocks cycle just about anything, don't they? I have a Browning 9 mm that objects at times to anything but hardball rounds.

Quite a number of years ago, a close friend, then a Houston Police officer, got a call of armed robbery in progress. He and his HPD partner responded. Gunfight ensued. My friend fired five (5) .45ACP shots, and got three torso hits on one of the bad guys. Bad guy lived, but wears a colostemy bag to empty his bowels. Can't ever tell what will happen in a gunfight.

If you insist on using a 9mm, at least use some good ammo...

I've shoot a 23 and think it is a great gun. My son carries a Glock 21 (45) in Iraq. The Marines handout 9MM's and some the guys on the teams bring their own guns rather than use the 9MM's. The joke is you might as well throw the 9MM at them because you usually don't stop them with it.

"The perp made it to the hospital? Ditch the .40 Short and Weak and up it to a 10mm with full house hollow points." You sound like a man of my own heart, I carry a Delta Elite and keep my D-E Gold Cup in my night stand. 10mm holes are quite big in and out, especially with hollow points.

I love the midsize Glock frame.. The 19, 23, and 32. To me, the .357 Sig 125gr at 1350fps is the best. 14 shots of it. Heavy power.

"A happy ending would have been TWO perps shot twice in the torso and once in the head" When you start a sing/song like that you just HAVE to finish it - "That way your sure they always stay dead"

The perp made it to the hospitol? Ditch the .40 Short and Weak and up it to a 10mm with full house hollow points. A great load if you only want to make one shot every 30 seconds while recovering from the massive recoil. :-/
The .40 S&W works quite well with 155gr.JHPs.
