Report reveals details on Iraqi insurgents methods
Isaac Kfir
ICT
An intelligence document recently leaked to the press has revealed that British special forces are helping to
patrol Iraqs border with Syria. The report also blamed the Syrian government for failing to stem the flow of
insurgents, arms, and funding into Iraq.
SAS Kills 12 insurgents in Iraq
Special Air Service (SAS) soldiers killed 12 insurgents as part of a campaign to protect Iraqs borders. The role of
the SAS in defending Iraqs border comes from a document drafted by American and Iraqi intelligence forces.
The leaked document describes how British SAS troop engaged Arab insurgents crossing into Iraq from Syria.
The report notes that the insurgents were not heavily armed as they collect weapons once they enter Iraq.
According to the report, the SAS troops watched eight groups of between eight and 22 people cross into Iraq
within one 48-hour period in a surveillance operation to track their destinations and controllers.
In another incident, SAS troops arrested two men who after questioning confessed that they were trained in
Saudi Arabia and briefed in Syria. The report lists 12 countries of origin for suicide bombers: Saudi Arabia, Syria,
Egypt, Yemen, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Jordan and Chechnya.
Terrorists becoming more sophisticated
There has been an increase in the number of bombing in Iraq over the past two months, with 27 car bombings
this month, and 67 last month, compared to 25 in the whole of 2004. The bombers often work in pairs to ensure
the mission is carried out. The second bomber provides backup if one bomber is caught; the second bomber
can trigger his colleagues device.
A recent example of this was the bombing in Hilla, south of Baghdad, in which more than 100 people died as
they queued up to apply for government jobs. The bombing was actually carried out by a second person who
had kissed the bomber goodbye as he stepped out of the car.
Syria blamed for giving shelter to insurgents
A senior American military official said the surge in violence followed a meeting in Syria last month of associates
of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the Jordanian terrorist.
Syria has recently come under fire from Ibrahim al-Jaafari, the Iraqi Prime Minister, and Robert Zoellick, the
visiting US Deputy Secretary of State, who blamed foreign fighters who infiltrate Iraq for the recent wave of
violence, which has claimed the lives of some 500 people, many of them Iraqi civilians.
Mr Zoellick said We made it quite clear to Syria that there are a number of actions Syria needs to take . . . I
hope Syria gets the message. Countries are responsible for what happens on their territory.
The US is determined to put pressure on President Assad to stem the flow of men, weapons and money into
Iraq. American and Iraqi officials claimed that they have detailed intelligence that Syria has ignored the activities
of the insurgents, who run two main supply routes, one down the Euphrates River into the restive Anbar
province and the other towards the northern city of Mosul. The Syrians have dismissed the allegations as
baseless, and a government official claimed that Syria was doing all it can to stop cross-border activity.
In a disturbing conclusion, the report states that there is firm intelligence that insurgents and their supporters
have infiltrated the Iraqi forces to become double agents, operating by day for the Iraqi authorities and at
night for Zarqawi. Moreover, the report states, Despite numerous checks it is virtually impossible to defend
against suicide bombers.

More on al-Azhab / al Khandaq war.. |
re: Post #561 |
The war of Al-Khandaq (another name of this war is Al-Ahzab or The Confederates) one of the hardest and most difficult wars in the Prophet's life. |
--Source Link-- |
The Battle of the Clans [Ma'rakat al-Ahzab] is a reference to a battle in the fifth year after the hijrah during the time of the Prophet Muhammad, alluded to in Surat al-Ahzab (Surah 33) in the Qur'an. Historian 'Abd ar-Rahman Ibn Khaldun (as summarized by British Muslim Muhammad Pickthall in The Meaning of the Glorious Koran, originally published in 1930) wrote that in the fifth year of the Hijrah, members of the Bani Nadir, a Jewish tribe that the Prophet had expelled from al-Madinah for treason, went first to the leaders of the pagan Quraysh tribe in Mecca and then to the chiefs of the great desert tribe of Ghatafan, urging them to extirpate the Muslims and promising them help from the Jewish population who were still living in al-Madinah in ostensible alliance with the Muslims. As a result of their efforts, Quraysh with all their clans, and Ghatafan with all their clans marched to destroy the Muslims in al-Madinah. When the Prophet had news of their plan, he ordered a trench to be dug before the city and himself led the work of digging it. The trench was finished when the clans arrived, 10,000 strong. The Prophet went out against them with his army of 3,000, the trench being between the two armies. For nearly a month the Muslims were exposed to showers of arrows , in constant expectation of attack by much superior forces; and, to make matters worse, news came that the Jewish tribe of Bani Qurayzah in their rear had broken their alliance with the Muslims and made common cause with Quraysh. The Muslims' women and children had been put in strongholds - towers like the peel-towers of Northern England, of which every family of note had one for refuge in time of raids. These were practically unguarded, and some of the Muslims asked permission of the Prophet to leave the battle front and go to guard them, though they were not then serious immediate danger because the Bani Qurayzah were not likely to show their treachery until the victory of the clans was certain. The case of the Muslims seemed, humanly speaking, hopeless. But a secret sympathizer in the enemy camp managed to sow distrust between the Bani Qurayzah and the chiefs of the clans, making both feel uneasy. The obstacle of the trench was unexpected and seemed formidable; and when a fierce, bitter wind from the sea blew for three days and nights so furiously that they could not keep a shelter up, or light a fire, or boil a pot, Abu Sufyan, the leader of the pagan Quraysh, ended the siege in disgust. And when Gatafan one morning found Quraysh had gone, they too departed for their homes. On the very day when the Muslims returned from the trench, began the siege of the traitorous Bani Qurayzah Jewish tribe in their towers of refuge in al-Madinah. It lasted for 25 days after which they surrendered some of the tribe of Aws, whose adherents the Bani Qurayzah were asked the Prophet to show them the same grace that he had shown to the tribe of Khazraj, in the case of Bani Nadir, in allowing them to intercede for their dependents. The Prophet said: 'Would you like that one of you should decide concerning them?' They said: 'Yes,' and the Prophet appointed Sa'd ibn Mu'adh, a great chief of Aws, who had been wounded in the battle and was being cared for in the mosque. Sa'd was sent for and rendered judgment on the Jews in accordance with the law in the Torah: he ordered their men to be put to death, their women and children to be made captive, and their property to be divided among the Muslims at the Prophet's will. |

Name The Surah derives its name Al-Ahzab from verse 20. Period of Revelation The Surah discusses three important events which are: the Battle of the Trench (or Al-Ahzab: the Clans), which took place in Shawwal, A. H. 5; the raid on Bani Quraizah, which was made in Dhil-Qa'dah, A. H. 5; and the Holy Prophet's marriage with Hadrat Zainab, which also was contracted in Dhil-Qa'dah, A. H. 5. These historical events accurately determine the period of the revelation of this Surah. |

LODI (KRON) --
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "22-year old Hamid Hayat is named in a federal criminal complaint accusing him of receiving training at a terror camp in Pakistan. Hayat is accused of "learning to kill Americans." Court documents say Hayat used a photograph of President Bush for target training.
His father, 47-year old Umer Hayat is charged with lying to federal authorities about his son's involvement in the alleged terror operation. The older Hayat is also accused of helping to finance the terrorists' training facility.
The two other men are reportedly being held on immigration violations. Investigators say they were working to open an Islamic school in Lodi, in southern Sacramento County."
There's a book called "And the Sea will Tell" that's a little on this vein as well.
THANKS nw.
Shame on those entrusted to uphold our immigration laws who permit these people to continue living freely in the USA. Our laws have teeth, it's time for the teeth to have BITE. This man has been here for 20 years illegally. Certainly he could have been apprehended somewhere in that space and time by someone with half an interest to uphold the law.
CNS NEWS.com: "FREE KORANS FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE" by Susan Jones (ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Over the weekend, CAIR held a conference in the Washington area on the causes and remedies of "Islamophobia and anti-Americanism."") (May 17, 2005)
this is all i have, it was snipped from an earlier post here, i think on the 30th or the 1st?
Dubai, 30 May (AK - The Abu Hafs al-Misri Brigades have called their 'sleeping' European cells to action with a message published on some of the most important Islamist internet forums saying: "We ask all waiting mujahideen, wherever they are, to carry out the planned attack." The message follows months of silence from the group which claimed responsibility for the Madrid train bombings on March 11 last year and threatened Italy last summer.
This time, part of the message is addressed directly to the European cells. The first part of the 'Message to the mujahideen in Europe', however, is directed at the Iraqi groups and reads: "We of the Abu Hafs al-Misri Brigades call on all our cells in Iraq to close ranks and start the bloody war against the enemies of Islam. We send out a message to America and its allies, wherever they are, to state that we will not let the sacrilege of the Koran pass unnoticed and there all be a reply in the future."
The second part of the message refers to the supposed attack that sleeping cells should carry out in Europe. "The truth about the infidel crusade has become obvious," the document says, calling on the cells to carry out the planned attack "after the infidels declared war on Islam, desecrating the noble Book that is the Holy Koran. But we also send a message to all those locked up in the prisons of the tyrants," it continues, "from Fes to Guantanamo: the dawn is near and so too is victory."
thats all i got, not sure if it;s complete or dont have a source url.
not comforting..
-pez
So then why do so many important people in this country feel they have to suck up to these people at America's expense (given that they clearly emote their intention to takeover America no matter how long it takes).
We can dress them out and use them as scarecrows! They're bigger than tin cans and that'll make target practice much easier.
Hmmmmm, officially no terrorist cells here.......just a figment of our imagination.........22-year old Hamid Hayat is named in a federal criminal complaint accusing him of receiving training at a terror camp in Pakistan. Hayat is accused of "learning to kill Americans.".......no need to be concerned......immigration got these two.......move along.......
