The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

MIRAMAR, Fla. -- Despite the massive federal, state and local law enforcement effort to stop terrorists from entering the United States, there is no strong evidence of how well it is working.

Many experts are concerned that there are plenty of terrorists or sympathizers already in the country who have been here for years. Some are even citizens.

The Sept. 11, 2001, hijackers were the first wave and now the increasing number of arrests seems to signal a second wave of terrorism in South Florida.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "OTTAWA -- The daughter and daughter-in-law of a hard-line Syrian general have received visitor's visas from the Canadian embassy in Damascus to allow them to give birth in Canada and confer citizenship on the general's grandchildren, sources say.

Zeina Khair and her mother, Soha Tabaa, recently returned to Syria after a spring visit during which Ms. Khair delivered a baby girl, a Syrian source familiar with the situation said.

Montreal interior designer Maya Samaan sponsored the visit. "They're friends of mine, they happened to come here for a while, and they left," she said.

Ms. Khair is married to Majed Suleiman, the son of General Bahjat Suleiman. Until last week, Gen. Suleiman was chief of Syrian interior intelligence and one of the most powerful members of the country's dictatorial regime."

I just heard from an eye witness that a small plane gone down in the Hudson River right near the Boline Power Plant/Indian Point Nuke Plant (the plants are across the river from each other). My source says that there is a news black-out, in that LEO and emergency response personnel have switched to a non-public scanner frequency. I have no first hand knowledge, just reporting what I've been told.

In past years trash and food products were shipped on the same trucks. I recollect butter and trash, but some of you may recollect other products shipped in this manner. There are countless ways in which our food can be contaminated, some after they leave their place of origin.

Hi Folks.

Wanted to wish you all a happy 4th of July! As usual, I'll be climbing somewhere, probably Nelson Rocks, WV. Nice place.

Please everyone, keep yourselves prepared. I didn't know about the WH/Capital scare until last night. Doesn't matter. I ALWAYS keep 3 days off food, water, and survival gear (cloths, compass, etc) in the car.

Remember how worried and nervous folks used to get around the 4th? Now no one is even slightly concerned. That worries me. We're relaxing too much.

I saw a Dodge Astro w/ NJ plates and 2 muslim occupants yesterday morning on my way to work. I thought to myself that there might be a bomb in that van. I wrote down the plate number and occupant descriptions...just in case.
