Am I wrong..?

With what goes on in this country at this time in history it is highly probable. It happens all the time with the elderly. They will write a check to almost anyone that they have the slightest trust in. Happens more than people think, both from relatives and non relatives.

Sure does. My mil got scammed by a false statement made by a nurse. Her nephew believed what the nurse said ..never checking with an attorney. He kept buying and she just kept writing checks. It cost her $6000-$7000 in about a week's time.

Hubby now has power of attorney.
