This kind of BS journalism just gives me the creeps. Why can't we get reports on the good things happening in Iraq? The elections, the oil fields being developed, etc. Why does the MSM concentrate on death and destruction? We are winning the war on terror, let's hear about that! Get a load of that photo on the msn site, there should be less bad news coming from MSNBC and more support of the troops.

Why does the MSM concentrate on death and destruction? I suspect that question is rhetorical.

It is rhetorical, but there should be some accountability.
Agree?

I don't consider this "BS" journalism; this stuff is happening, and it's ok to report it. What bothers me is that this stuff sparks no international outrage; people (the media) get in a lather about Saddam in his undies or a damaged Koran or a prisoner with panties on his head, but the everyday deliberate murder of dozens of civilians by the insurgents passes without comment or outrage.
To: Charles Wickman
Of course. They're despicable beyond description.

More and more people are catching on to how despicable and vile the entire world of Islam is.

I disagree, in Islam at least, Jesus was seen as a prophet. The problem is fundamentalist Islam which translates to
terrorism

How many citizens are murdered in the USA each day? How about the press start a count on that, relentlessly.

Why does the MSM concentrate on death and destruction?I think we both know the answer -- the MSM wants to hurt Bush. If that means they help terrorists through lots of free publicity, and if that gets people killed, it's okay with them.

I agree, but what good does it do to report only bad stuff in the war on terror?
There are plenty of victories in Iraq too.

I suspect they would if they were murdered by terrorists. That would be news. Ordinary murders are too mundane. People don't care. I almost didn't click on this thread because terrorist murders are becoming so mundane in Iraq it isn't news either. So a few more Iraqi's died, big deal.
Strange that most of the people in the thread aren't in the least concerned about the dead Iraqi's but instead are angry at the media for reporting them. It's a strange world we live in.

Close to 800 people were murdered in the month of May in the US?

I don't get it. How in the world might that help insurgents to promote their cause? No sane human would do that in his/her own country. That's not insurgency. That's Al Qaeda conquering Iraq.
To: Charles Wickman
The accountability is paid in the MSM's ratings sinking lower every day.
But, I agree with ya completely. The price should be higher.

That's exactly the point!
If we keep concentrating on the deaths of a few Iraqis, we forget all the good that is happening.
What about the insurgents we have killed or captured?
Where is the reporting on that?
We should be writing letters to the MSM about giving fair time to support our troops!

One day very soon they are going to get sick and tired of this stuff and they'll start taking notes from Israel and get rid of these thugs!

Given that Hussein's regime killed 5000/month == 60,000 per year for those in RioLinda, this represents a major reduction in carnage for the Iraqis.
The Old Mediots ought to be counting lives saved, not lost, in Iraq.
