Tripp, Felt treatment a contrast
The Washington Times ^ | June 2, 2005 | James Lakely

The former attorney for Clinton scandal whistleblower Linda R. Tripp -- who, like "Deep Throat," exposed White House misdeeds -- said his client's harsh public treatment stands in stark contrast to the veneration of W. Mark Felt, whose aid to the press helped bring down President Nixon.

"I think that what happened to Linda Tripp -- demonization is too kind a word," said David Irwin, who represented Mrs. Tripp during President Clinton's impeachment trial. "I thought she got the brunt of a lot of people's frustrations.

"There is no question that Linda Tripp, like Mark Felt, was not happy with what was going on in the White House," Mr. Irwin said. "It was so unlike what she considered the good old days of the [first] Bush White House. I think there is a corollary there."

Sure. As long as sex = perjury and obstruction of justice.

It sure seems to give some politicians an orgasm.

Because it was about sex?

So says the OLD MEDIA/"friends" of the Clintons. It was about lying and threatening people. I don't care what the Clinton phycos/OLD MEDIA says.

I like your tag line. Biden, Boxer, Clinton, and Pelosi need to go on a car trip with Kennedy. It could be very sobering. (/joke)

Forget about Linda Tripp. What about Gary Aldrich???? He went public, resigned in disgust, and was trashed by the media.

By taping Monica Lewinsky, Linda Tripp saved her own life and Lewinsky's.
Don't forget Linda Tripp was identified by the FBI as the last person Vince Foster spoke to in the White House. He told her, "I'll be right back."
Tripp has always been a hero to me. She did everything right, including remain graceful when the MSM and the Clintons attempted to ridicule her.

Compared to the dirty tricks of the LBJ administration (which the WaPo knew about), Nixon was a saint.

Nixon on the other hand resurected his legacy before he died. (ending V N war).

I wouldn't call ending our involvement in Indochina, something to be proud of to have as a legacy, considering what happened in Cambodia soon afterwards.

Don't forget what happened to Manuel Miranda and the memos by the Rats on obstructing Bush's judicial nominees.
