Some of Ben's emotions may be due to the fact that his dad, economist Herb Stein, was Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors in the Nixon administration.
Ironically, Carl Bernstein was a classmate of Ben's in a Maryland high school (as were Goldie Hawn and Sylvester Stallone).
