It has been a while since I posted on FR. I thought I would post the latest offering of my good friend Ben Stein.

Some may agree or disagree but what Ben does do is get us to thinking of what it is that we believe in and if anyone should have an opinion of these event's it would be of our friend Ben.

It is so good to have you post again.
This Nixon thing revived brings up a bad memory of what the press was doing in that time.
We had no Fox,no Rush and no FR among the many outlets we have now.There was a sinking feeling always in the pit of my stomach that I now feel just rereading about it.
Our country has gone through some bad times where we came close to loosing our freedom. Praise God we are still holding fast. We must never let the left steal our Gov.

Watergate was the liberal media at cynical, manipulative top form. Woodward and Bernstein hoodwinked an entire nation and destroyed a president whose biggest fault was that he lacked personal charm sufficient to blunt the all-out media attack. The burglary itself, which Nixon did not know about until after it happened, was bush league stuff, and Nixon responded foolishly after it was uncovered. But his worst errors of judgment weren't a patch on Clinton's least egregious crimes.

A consensus is building that the Internet is choking the life out of the print media, including the Washington Post. I hope Woodward and Bernstein live long enough to see the WP die its well-deserved hideous death.

Wow, thank you for posting this. I had no idea Ben Stein was so, well, multi-talented. A lawyer, speechwriter, and (very good) columnist in addition to being an actor?

As a matter of fact, after reading his website, I'm going to go rent Ferris Beuhler's (sp?) Day Off. :) I could use a laugh today.

Ben Stein's one of our greatest writers. And while few will share his perspective about Nixon, it's a perspective worth sharing.
