TEHRAN, June 1 (MNA) - Al-Qaeda terrorist leader in Iraq Abu Musab al-Zarqawi has received treatment at a hospital in the Jordanian capital Amman amid tight security by Jordanian intelligence forces and under the supervision of the Jordanian King Abdullah II, the U.S.-based daily Arab Times reported on Wednesday.
There are reliable news in Jordan that al-Zarqawi was transferred to the Al-Hussein clinic in Oman where he received treatment in a section guarded by security forces, the Arabic-language daily claimed.
The news that al-Zarqawi has taken shelter in Jordan is quite likely since the Jordanian intelligence agency has a precedent of giving service to elements convicted of terrorism, informed sources in Jordan have announced.

Yep!
Correction, they would have shot him on sight.
Sounds like a steaming pile of Bravo Sierra to me!
In fact, he's a marked man in Jordan.
Yup. My guess is rushed over Syrian border, flown to Tehran.
Good scenario. I agree.
Of course, and the invasion of Iraq was all a sinister plot by the Bush family to gain control over the world's supply of tinfoil.
The hospital is also holding some medical records from President Bush's Texas Air National Guard Days, according to Dan Rather.
/sarcasm (a rather more highly developed sense than originally thought)
Religion trumps everything, and there are people who will help him. Those who oppose will be assasinated as is happening all over the world. - Tom
Yeah, I don't believe it either.
My questions for you are:
(1) Why do you have blind faith in an Iranian news agency?
(2) Why would Al-Zarqawi go to a country where he has made enemies who hate him, when he could go to a closer, friendlier regime like Syria?
(3) Why do you distrust Jordan while trusting Iran blindly?
MEHR is Iran's propaganda mouthpiece. They have another 'article' on why the IAEA demands are unfair. If anything, this is a response to Rumsfeld suggesting that any country that helps Zarqawi is helping Al Qaeda. I'll bet he's in Iran, as is Zawahiri.
How haven't they? You're aware that they've given our forces in Iraq free oil for almost two years, and only recently started charging, correct? I'd say that's about as friendly a gesture as can be made from a nation as small as Kuwait.
(1) Why do you have blind faith in an Iranian news agency? I don't, we were discussing why Jordan wouldn't be out of the question as an country he might have been treated in.
(2) Why would Al-Zarqawi go to a country where he has made enemies who hate him, when he could go to a closer, friendlier regime like Syria?
He is going to a hospital, and not on a vacation. Some hospitals are better suited to handle different situations. We have people all over the world come to some of the hospitals in Boston. I am sure there are a lot of hospitals closer to home.
(3) Why do you distrust Jordan while trusting Iran blindly?
Jordan has a 94% SUNNI population. I don't trust any of those countries including Saudi Arabia.
Remind me what I said.
With friends like Jordan and Saudi Arabia, we don't need any enemies, huh? I actually like the King of Jordan and his father, but first they're Muslims, then they're our friends.
You're right. Put Russia and China in that category as well.
