TEHRAN, June 1 (MNA) - Al-Qaeda terrorist leader in Iraq Abu Musab al-Zarqawi has received treatment at a hospital in the Jordanian capital Amman amid tight security by Jordanian intelligence forces and under the supervision of the Jordanian King Abdullah II, the U.S.-based daily Arab Times reported on Wednesday.
There are reliable news in Jordan that al-Zarqawi was transferred to the Al-Hussein clinic in Oman where he received treatment in a section guarded by security forces, the Arabic-language daily claimed.
The news that al-Zarqawi has taken shelter in Jordan is quite likely since the Jordanian intelligence agency has a precedent of giving service to elements convicted of terrorism, informed sources in Jordan have announced.

Interesting theory, and probably true if he is indeed in Jordan. I'm inclined to regard the story as disinformation.
Quite frankly Iran helping him also makes no sense, since he's the architect of Sunni on Shia violence in Iraq, and toes the al Qaeda (and traditional Sunni) line that Shi'ites are apostates and Shia is a tool of Christians and Jews to corrupt Islam.

(My bishop's family happens to have emigrated to the US from a valley in Syria, the Arabic name of which means "the Valley of the Christians" because they have defended it against the jihad from the beginning.)

Did you read the dateline on this article? It's from Tehran, IRAN! If they are trying to point the finger at Jordan, chances are he's in Syria (Iran's protege)

Yes it could be entirely disinformation and that is why its just a theory. I don't think anyone wants this guy showing up on their door step. Too hot and would bring too many problems and attention. He may still be holed up in Iraq or he just may be dead. We'll find out but they will leak the information slowly.

My methodology is to assume any story in the RATmedia is a lie designed to damage the conservatives and Bush. Thus, everything negative has to be proven elsewhere, mainly here, anything positive is assumed to be true since it cannot always suppress the truth.

What we are not told is that it ALWAYS has had disproportionate influence and it was almost always negative. This goes back as far as the Jeffersonian assaults on Hamilton (and even Washington) and the opposition to Lincoln.

I'm sure we can trust this report. After all, why would an official Iranian news source try to make Jordan and Oman look like they're double-dealing the US?
