Undocumented immigrants cause a stir in West University (Houston, TX)

ABC13 Eyewitness News (6/01/05 - WEST UNIVERSITY, TX) — Residents in West University witnessed a chaotic and unsettling scene as close to 100 undocumented immigrants were released in their neighborhood.

It happened just after 4:30pm Tuesday. Police say a U-Haul truck pulled up to the intersection of Cason and Wakeforest and unloaded the undocumented immigrants. They also say the human smugglers pulled over after the immigrants locked in the back of the truck rocked it back and forth to get their attention.

"They said they'd been in the Houston area for about 24 hours, but they were in the U-Haul truck for about two hours," said Officer Chris Castillo with the Houston Police Department. "It was very hot today. They haven't eaten, haven't drank."

Police say the immigrants were from Mexico, Guatemala and Ecuador. They each paid $4,000 to $6,000 to the smugglers to come into the country illegally.

The undocumented immigrants were transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement and will likely be deported. (Copyright © 2005, KTRK-TV)

I understand perfectly well. And I have never apologized for a criminal. But this is exactly why I usually blow off most of these immigration threads, because anyone who doesn't fall in line with the most ridiculous and extreme interpretations is accused of being a lackey who wants open borders. And it is the same reason why it has taken far longer than it should have for the issue to take hold in the general public, because the loudest voices against illegal immigration are often liars and rabid cranks foaming at the mouth. Whether you like it or not, most people understand that the majority of these illegal aliens are coming here just to improve their life, not as some sinister Atzlan plot. So when you call me a criminal apologist just for pointing that out, you are calling them that, too. Not a good way to win people over to the merits of your arguments.

Excuse me?

Because I called someone out for drama queening that every illegal alien is coming here "embedded in his mind the idea of killing ten Americans"

Who is the drama queen dear?

I posted a Quote. I didn't MAKE IT UP... nor did I dramatize it with illusions.. I answered you straight and directly. You can't seem to understand the quote, nor the response, OR, others attempts to help you.

I understand that if one is to talk about another here at F/R, you are to give them a courtesy ping..

That is not what the mexican illegal alien support groups say. They say that this is their land.

What part of criminal is not clear??

So you agree that for what ever reason they come here they are committing a crime and criminals should be punished?

I don't care if someone is stealing out of my yard so they can feed their family or better their life. If the criteria for the use of lethal force is met then they are dead.

"Why would Mexico, which has Pemex and unrestricted access to the US and Europe, need petrochemical products from the Mad Mullahs?"

Cover story for their own people. What else could they want to ship to mexico besides oil?

That's ANOTHER good question.. Mexico has oil, so what's the 'deal' really for? Or, is it a pact to squeeze buyers? Bottomline, if the Mexican economy is booming, why are they still pushing their criminals here? To force their political agenda through OUR ballot box.

I'm working on a theory. Google Plan Puebla-Panama. China figures in this one, though.

Spare me the victimhood drama. We've argued back and forth several times on this thread(so far just 1 page), and as usual its turned into a circle of a handful of posters repeating their rants and reinforcing each other, so the likelihood of you missing my comments was rather nil. And I also was trying to be a bit vague out of courtesy, rather than trying to slam you by name.

It's not going to pass, it's changing the country, domestic and foreign policy, education, healthcare, law enforcement, everything and everyone, but still they sit in the stew of denial.

You're right, it's NOT going to pass. The numbers are growing daily while the politicians smile and pay off their campaign debts to the slavemasters.

How can the government admiit that there are at least 14 million illegal aliens in this country without admitting that we're being colonized?

14 Million is a conservative estimate I believe.. 4 years ago, it was 20 million.. and yet, McCain Kennedy claim roughly only 3 million aliens would be granted amnesty.. Riiiiiiiight. Colonization is a nice word for occupation. If there are more than 3 million amnesty tickets granted, what is the plan to send the rest home? Or, would their plan include relocating them to every state to ensure each has their fair share of voting aliens?

The politicians would prefer the latter... As for me, I want them ALL sent home. Let them apply legally. Let them wait their turn.

Agreed. Legal immigration is fine. However, unless we send the illegals home, we need a moritorium on any and all new immigrants, until we solve the 'overage' issue. And, until the 'amnesteed' aliens have been assimilated, speak English, and have passed through the same process as those who came here legally. Fair is fair.

If there is such a shorage of labor, perhaps our schools could educate our children with the skills for those jobs. Hey, there's a concept.

Sadly, the schools in California are too busy trying (and hardly succeeding) to teach non-English speakers some of the basics. The American kids get lost in the shuffle in many towns that are mainly hispanic now.

That's why many parents of American kids are either putting their kids in private schools or using an address in a better school district, to get thier kids away from the schools who are forced to pander to the non-English speakers.

I understand many TEACHERS put their kids in private school as well. For an education and for their own safety.

Either way, the dumbing down of children will trap them to be used by politicians. And those that have been properly education will be trapped by the stupid as well.
