Hell, NO!

He is a disgusting little snitch.

Broke the law, and still cashed his gubmint checks!

Felt is no hero. He broke the law to bring down a president and betrayed his position with the FBI to reveal unauthorized information.

Nixon had his flaws but, when compared to the leftists demi-god, Bill Clinton, Nixon was a saint.

If what Felt did was so honorable, how come he hid in the shadows for over 30 years before coming forward?

If you're a Democrat or a journalist, he's a big hero.

Yes, when they've asked his lawyer about that his lawyer said 'oh no, that he harbored no ill will about being passed over.'

NO.

The resignation of Nixon was a horribly traumatic event for our country. It allowed the likes of Jimmy Carter to gain the presidency.

Felt was a megalomaniac and a traitor. The coup de etat he helped engineer unleashed the Viet Cong and the Kmer Rouge in the Far East with the consequence of millions of genocide deaths. In the Middle east due to Jimmy Carter's ineptitude he is responsible for destabilizing the whole region after throwing the Sha to the wolves and setting up the Iran-Iraq war of which the consequences include 911, the need for the Iraq intervention and are still with us today. All in all not a hero.

It's hard to answer that question without understanding Felt's motives.

If he had a personal axe to grind, I'd vote no.

IMHO, Felt committed felonies. He should have been prosecuted for those felonies.

I don't know if I accept your logic.

A man's got to survive--literally or figuratively-- to tell the tale.

That's not the logic I want from one of the top administrators at the FBI. Seems like the process of justice wasn't at the top of his list. He felt compelled to get the truth out, but not through the means by which the law had set up. Makes him more flawed than a hero in my book.

If you're in law enforcement and you have evidence of a crime, do you go to other law enforcement prople or to the newspapers? Felt chose the newspapers.

I just voted no and the no's were @ 29.4%. I was not a Nixon fan but it makes me very uneasy that the 2nd in command @ the FBI would leak to the media rather than through a grand jury or whatever. There should be consequences for this guy - 91 or not.

Remember how Linda Tripp was savaged for taping Monica's conversations?

Yes, and it turns out that Felt was convicted of authorizing illegal wiretaps and break-ins.

Let them ( the MSM = Main Stream Media = Mind altering drug , and the Democrats ) have their orgy and parade , because it is a shallow celebration on a weak foundation.
If anything, this will erode the MSM and the Democrats credibility even farther ( that is ? if they really had any ) remember ? the American public is watching them, the people can see right through them and see their hypocrisy and double standard once again on the national stage.
Let them put their pride and hypocrisy in the national limelight, the American public will just get sick of the MSM and the Liberals even farther.
I say, let them have their Swan Song Party, because they are not aware that the Titanic is going down.
