Robbie Gordon of NASCAR started the discussion, saying that he wouldn't drive in the Indy Car Racing League series until they do something about Danica Patrick's weight 'advantage.'
'The lighter the car, the faster it goes,' Gordon said. 'Do the math. Put her in the car at her weight, then put me or Tony Stewart in the car at 200 pounds and our cars are at least 100 pounds heavier.'
'I wont race against her until the IRL does something to take that advantage away.'
I glanced at the weight of the weight of the drivers in the Indy Car Series. They are pretty much smallish guys --between 140 and 155 lbs.
He seems to be willing to race against guys who are about 60 pounds less and had no problem with it before.

Ok, you want me to bash her? I'll bash her some more. I don't like her. I hope she never races at Indy again. I hope she goes to NASCAR so I never have to watch her--better yet, she can jump to F1 with one of those underfunded stiff teams and follow in the footsteps of Jacques Villeneuve, another guy I can't stand, and she can even win a F1 championship like Villeneuve and then float off into obscurity, when the only television time they get is when Michael Schumacher is passing lap traffic.
Happy?
It's the beauty of FR; we can disagree all day long on some things and then find that ONE thing we agree on. (I bet we agree on more than you think we do! Sorry)
And believe me, if I looked CLOSE to the way she looked, my face (and butt) would be plastered everywhere!
More power to her.
Would you want your granddaughter, daughter, etc... dressing has she has?
Yes, Diva. I was crying as she was making history, and the WHOLE track was on their feet waving their hats and cheering her in salute and happiness for her. It was quite a sight. True American spirit.
suits me just fine
Says it all! :)
Couldn't be; she doesn't like "cliques" or "small groups."
Right......LOL.
I fail to see how posing in such pictures is a great example to little girls. Girls should know that they can be great WITHOUT making themselves a sex figure.
Women have made great strides, I am not sure all of them are good.
I would appreciate it if she would be a spokesperson for racing...and RACING ONLY!!!
IF I ever have a girl, she will not be taught that such a person is a fantastic example, that's for sure.IMHO, She isn't.
Must be the wind drag on his over-sized helmet.
The pics "say it all." There is NO reason for posing for such pictures.period.
FWIW- I don't think you are the end all be all judge of what someone else can handle when you can haven't done it yourself. She may rock NSACAR as well- who knows?
If you don't like her fine- but what do you know about her abilities? You are basing your judgment on how you interpret a few interviews.
That is your choice but you are missing out on a great story.
Mark my word.
Really? I don't put a LOL or a :) at teh end of every single post but I have been using them, even to you!
Remember this one?
You aren't the only one complaining and whining about her. Some of the others are male. :)
NOTICE THE :) AT HE END OF IT.
LOL, what a wuss
My phone rang in the middle of my last post, and I was on the line for I guess quite a while. When I came back to finish my post and submit it, I didn't realize that in the meantime things had gotten controversial...
Yes, that's true, but AJ Foyt gets a pass because he's got his face on the Borg Warner Trophy four times. Danica is looking for victory number one--anywhere.
But you are right--drivers aren't the most humble bunch around--but that said, she still irks me.
