Robbie Gordon of NASCAR started the discussion, saying that he wouldn't drive in the Indy Car Racing League series until they do something about Danica Patrick's weight 'advantage.'
'The lighter the car, the faster it goes,' Gordon said. 'Do the math. Put her in the car at her weight, then put me or Tony Stewart in the car at 200 pounds and our cars are at least 100 pounds heavier.'
'I wont race against her until the IRL does something to take that advantage away.'
I glanced at the weight of the weight of the drivers in the Indy Car Series. They are pretty much smallish guys --between 140 and 155 lbs.
He seems to be willing to race against guys who are about 60 pounds less and had no problem with it before.

Perhaps Golf will try this "sexy"ing up the womens golf.
Then again the LPGA may object to attractive women....
The more I hear about this story the more I am conviced that this was a glorified PR stunt and any actual tallent is a mere coincidence.
What was I thinking.....of course they would!
Having said that, there is clearly some sort of double standard in play and it was on full display this weekend.
Had a male driver taken out two women drivers on a caution lap, and finished fourth, he probably wouldn't have appeared on every morning news show the next day to great adulation.
Bad ("slutty", post Operation Iraqi Freedom)=
why do you think the great Ratings??
Like what? Making their skirts even shorter or doing away with underpants?
I see some more sour grapers here. I doubt that you could fare better than a 22 year old girl at 200 plus miles per hour- during the greatest spectacle in racing.....
Nope_ I don't think you would do any better than Danica did.
You don't have to be a fan, I can accept that- but to wish for her death really says something about you.
LOL! No, that would be womens tennis.
LOL!!

I had not thought about it in those terms....you could be right.
Act like a Prude, get called a Prude.
Have a great day!!!
I'm trying to think back, did they have Roberto Guerrero on after wiping out the whole row? What about Paul Tracy? For a while there he was trashing vehicles left and right. There have been a lot of guys over the years that have caused wrecks that trashed cars. Not sure if they interviewed them all.
Very telling that this is what you remember most about her debut 500.
I saw a little of the LPGA event on the golf channel last weekend. I was shocked at what I saw. Shall I say there appear to be a lot of manly women golfers? As a woman, they give me the heebie-jeebies. I'd much rather look at an attractive woman like Danica Patrick any day of the week.
You were more gentle. The word I picked out for her started with a 'B'. ;)
Metro-sexual Testos-Estrogen dysfunction.. obviously..
Hormonal battle of the pussified..
i.e. Quasi-Lesbianism -or- Bull-Dagger meets Bull-Spermer
Better a prude that a.....well you know.
Like I said, I just try to ask myself if God would approve of that kind of attire.
Have a great day!
Perhaps, but I don't think so. I heard was she said, and it didn't sound like she was joking, but it is hard to tell in that monotone and annoying voice that she has. But anyhow, it seems to fit with the rest of her personality, which, in my opinion, is very self-centered.
A quote from an interview she gave earlier this month at Indy: "I was actually walking back from pit lane during the day yesterday, and there was a group of about 15 little kids that looked like they were skipping school and screaming for me to come over. As soon as I walked across, they screamed even louder. I just think it's really flattering, and I think it's what the sport needs."
Asked about how she would feel about a victory at Indy? "I have a feeling it might change motorsports forever."
Just a couple of examples, but it seems like everytime I hear her open her mouth, it's always all about me.
Anyway, I'm not really interested in bashing her; I was just pretty surprised at the use of the word "humble" to describe her--it certainly wouldn't be something that I would ever consider using.
I didn't realize there was a prude patrol, but really... the egregious and hypocritical use of words dilutes them for use when really needed. Surely there are real sluts out there that deserve to be pointed and shouted at.. why waste time here?
Who can honestly say that if any of these women here had a body like that they wouldn't wear a bikini to the beach, and any of these men screaming slut wouldn't be watching?
LOL!! That's a pretty sturdy limb to go out on. ;-)
What an epic wuss.
Wait for the movie 'Big Men Can't Drive!' :)
