Bush 41: Jeb Would Make Great Prez (He wants his son to run for President)
NewsMax ^ | 6/1/05

Former President Bush (41), father of current President Bush (43), hopes his son Jeb will someday be Bush 4x.

In an interview with CNN, the sky-diving investment group partner and proud papa said he wants Jeb to run for president. "He'd be awfully good ... This guy's smart, big and strong. Makes the decisions. And you know, not without controversy, but he's led that state (of Florida)."

So, is Jeb going to run in '08, even though he says he won't?

The elder Bush, who's about to turn 81, said, "The timing's wrong. The main thing is, he doesn't want to do it."

Then he added, but "nobody believes that."

Jeb Bush cannot run for governor of Florida again due to the state's two-term limit. His tenure will end in 2007.

The best thing about Jeb being the president is the reaction it would create in the DU ranks. Some of those guys are already about half suicidal..... A third Bush presidency would push many of them over the edge.

I know, don't you love it? We'd have mass suicides amongst the lefties up here in Canada as well.

I'm sorry, but I don't think I could support a third Bush presidency. It's getting a little too close to a hereditary monarchy for my liking.

Well, he showed such great leadership protecting Terri Schaivo that I would appreciate him retiring in Florida and not try to protect my family and me.

No matter how many e-mails he's prepared to send to do it.

Memo to Bush 41:

We are not Rome. Request denied.

Haha and not only would the suicide rate go up among liberals, but Canada would see a huge influx across the border!

I don't think I would support it either. We need another candidate.

I will never vote for someone named Bush again, any more than someone named Clinton.

Enough is too much.

After the Schiavo incident, I don't think Jeb can get the base to support him.

He should have never backed down to that judge.

Just an observation, nothing more, nothing less.

It would push many Freepers over the edge too. You know: the "Why didn't Jeb send the National Guard to rescue Terri?" folks.

While I would certainly support Jeb, when and if he runs - I hope he decides to forego 2008. Not much of a fan of the whole dynasty thing, yer know...

Also, Jeb is much more of a true conservative than his older brother...any agree/disagree??

I'm guessing that after 8 years of Hillary, you'll change your tune.

I liked Bush 41, but after big spending, big government, open border Bush 43 I never want to hear the name Bush again. Jeb can forget it, No More Bushes!

Actually I don't know if he is or not more conservative. But I would not base any vote on the Schiavo case which alot of people do - I just don't want another Bush in the White House. I think we need a new face!
