THE IMPEACHMENT of President Bush and Vice President Cheney, under Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution, should be part of mainstream political discourse.
Minutes from a summer 2002 meeting involving British Prime Minister Tony Blair reveal that the Bush administration was ''fixing" the intelligence to justify invading Iraq. US intelligence used to justify the war demonstrates repeatedly the truth of the meeting minutes -- evidence was thin and needed fixing.
President Clinton was impeached for perjury about his sexual relationships. Comparing Clinton's misbehavior to a destructive and costly war occupation launched in March 2003 under false pretenses in violation of domestic and international law certainly merits introduction of an impeachment resolution.
Eighty-nine members of Congress have asked the president whether intelligence was manipulated to lead the United States to war. The letter points to British meeting minutes that raise ''troubling new questions regarding the legal justifications for the war." Those minutes describe the case for war as ''thin" and Saddam as ''nonthreatening to his neighbors," and ''Britain and America had to create conditions to justify a war." Finally, military action was ''seen as inevitable . . . But the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy."
Indeed, there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, nor any imminent threat to the United States:

Tell it to Chris Matthews.
You let us know how that works out for you, Ralph...
Everyone who insists on keeping the focus on the decision to invade Iraq is the enemy of NOW.
The hypocrite who claimed he didn't own stock (which was a lie) and declares that the rest of us shouldn't either.
nader is an idiot.
I didn't know he ever claimed to not own stock, I do know that he is actually a very good investor, with alot of success from various funds and stocks.
He does claim that he uses alot of his profits to fund his various (radical left wing) organizations.
Personally, I think he is shady and uses his organizations at various times to manipulate the market, i.e. buy stock in one company, then have your guys protest the competitors, while short selling the competition, you make money off your company gaining market share and also off the shorting of the competition, but proving it, is hard indeed.
Yea right! Japan posed no iminent threat after Midway, Germany after Stalingrad (pre D-Day) was no real threat. Why don't these idiot realize that wars are for winning...period.
Hey Ralph, yer just the guy to ask Sen. Hillary to return the FBI files she has. Go fer it.
Ralphie's next stop, the nursing home. Dementia is taking its toll.

IDIOT
IDIOT!!
Sheeeeesh! Everybody wants to get their face on the TV - First McCain and now Nader. Good grief!!
Ralphie's been smoking so much crack it's hard to believe he once, long ago, attended Yale Law School. Clinton lied under oath. Bush has not lied under oath. The rest of this is wasted electrons.
Ralph, they ain't making Corvairs anymore, your fifteen minutes are OVER, repeat your fifteen minutes are OSCAR VICTOR ECHO ROMEO.
"Laugh if you want to, but I think it's time FreeRepublic declared Ralph its official presidential pick for the 2008 race. Unless Sharpton wants a shot at it..."
Sharpton-Nader 2008!
I think he's that guy the Dems nearly hung in a peaceable display of 'tolerance' because some Liberals exercised their constitutional right to vote for a candidate that wasn't Al Gore.
The Dems toss around the "I" word when they cannot win an election. Five years and the Dems still haven't been able to dig up dirt to use against G.W.B. It must be maddening to waste their lives searching for the 'smoking gun' and come up empty again and again. Almost enough to make them go straight and win an election through legit means? Nah.
What a line up! First Rep. John Conyers and News distorter Kieth Oberman (sp?) were hot and heavy to Impeach. Now they are joined by BIG GUN Ralph.
