Authorities in Frederick County, Md., have begun investigating a report of repeated incidents in which eighth-grade boys fondled and taunted first-grade girls on a public school bus last fall. The mother of one first-grade girl said she first learned of the fondling accusations this month and is criticizing school officials for not alerting her. Detective Willie Ollie of the Frederick County Sheriff's Department said he has opened an investigation into the case.

She found out about the fondling this month while talking to the bus driver.
Mrs. Sechler said bus driver Bob Baxley told her in January that two eighth-grade boys had been disciplined for talking sexually to her daughter and two other girls since early last fall.
One boy was removed from West Frederick Middle School and the other was suspended for three days, she said.
Mrs. Sechler said she learned from Mr. Baxley on May 11 that the boys had been "inappropriately touching" her daughter.
"He couldn't believe [school system officials] had not told me," Mrs. Sechler said. "They never told me about the touching. I found out by accident."
"Lucky for him he doesn't exist."
Mine does. And if he did this, it would take a great deal of self control to keep from injuring him. But I would beat him, you can be sure of that.

I remember in second grade a boy would do this to us girls. He would pull down his pants and show his, ahem, private parts. He would come up behind us and grind his crotch into our butt. This was second grade and it was over twenty years ago...
Whatever happened to older brothers of the little girls, who would instill the fear of the Lord in bullying little creeps like this?
I guess this is the socialization that kids who are home school are missing huh.
When will the rest of the country catch up to what's happening here in Massachusetts. We're way past groping now. A student was raped on the bus on her way home just this past Friday.
I would also wonder what they are seeing in the classroom, from the instructors.
Take the 8th grade boys out behind the shed and give them 5 whacks on the butt with a 5' piece of bamboo and it won't happen again. I'm available to do the whacking.
Families aren't as large anymore. The chances of running afoul of an older brother have diminished.
The eight grade girls would have slapped them. These boys are predators.
Probably turned on a TV for 10 minutes.
It doesn't help kids to see slutty teachers released from prison, for getting their groove back with twelve year olds, only to become one of the greatest love stories of mankind.
In England that and coming soon to America, that would be considered child abuse.

I said on another thread that hitting should be the last option in a parent's arsenal and saved for the worst of transgressions. This is a perfect example of one.
