I finally called husband at work and he guided me to the outlet box. It was a matter of the cat getting behind the desk and loosening the connection just enough to make the speaker inoperable.

All better now. Unfortunately, I turned on tv this morning and saw President Bush but could not hear. At the end I did turn on the tv in the other room so I could sort of hear. LOL

LOL!! That happend to my "center channel speaker" the other day, the sound didn't sound right and I looked behind the subwoofer speaker (where all the right and left speakers plug into) and the center channel speaker looked plugged but it was just barely. I secured the connection and all is better now! LOL

You're lucky. My cat managed to bounce on the speaker wire hard enough to break the computer's jack. I'm still hurting for sound as a result. Probably need to buy a sound card some day.
