President Bush to Hold White House Press Conference at 10 a.m.
He did a great job. SS reform still high on his list. Looking forward to up or down vote on Bolton. He is disappointed that it has not already been done. Thinks Amnesty International's "gulag" statement is "absurd." Looking forward to working with Congress on the SS reform and other important matters. Feels that diplomacy is the best way to go as far as North Korea is concerned. Feels that his job is to keep pushing the important issues and get Congress to come to the table and discuss these issues. Says that things do not happen overnight in Washington, that politicians worry about what voting for these important programs will do to them in the polls. He feels he must keep getting the word out to the American people. Feels Bolton is the right man because the American people, or many of them, have lost faith in the U.N., and we need someone in there to make sure our 2 Billion Dollars in taxpayers' money is not wasted and that reform takes place.

The issue here is about whether the executive branch will provide information which the majority leader tried yesterday and today to get, and which I think almost every Senator here would acknowledge the institution is entitled to get. We are prepared to not even ask that the ranking member and the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee see the information we have sought. believe my colleagues on my side would agree with me--we are willing to vote 10 minutes after we come back into session if, in fact, they provide the information--information to which Mr. Bolton's staff had access but which they will not give to the majority leader of the Senate. When we had Dish installed in our home 5 years ago, I had the installer show me how to block all CNN channels. That prevents any accidental viewing of CNN lies.
The MSM is pushing their wet dream that he is a frustrated Lame Duck President and their polls show he is losing support in the War in Iraq, Social Security and his economic plans.

The fact is that in the days after 9-11 we heard speeches that drew a serious line in the sand. And what we were promised has not exactly panned out.
We're the United States and we have the best military the world has ever known.... but we can't find Osama Bin Laden in part because we won't go into some countries to chase him down.

I've recently built a home here in North Texas, and not a single Spanish-speaker worked on it - all were Americans.
I get my grass mowed, and it's an English-speaking American that does it.

me neither President Bush has to throw the press a bone once in awhile to keep the whining down.
I'm more worried about what Frist should or should NOT do rather than what he can do. Technically he wouldn't need all 7 RINOs' votes but it would be better to have a voting cushion.
