Karachi - Six people were burnt alive when a mob protesting a suicide bombing of a mosque torched an outlet of an American fast food chain in the southern Pakistani city of Karachi, police said on Tuesday.
Police and firemen recovered the bodies of six Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) employees after an angry mob set the restaurant on fire late on Monday following a suicide attack on a Shiite Muslim mosque here that left five people dead.
"Their bodies were found during the search of KFC," city police chief Tariq Jamil said.
Four of the victims at the restaurant were burned to death while the two others froze to death after taking refuge in a refrigeration unit at the restaurant, senior police official Manzoor Mughal said.
Three attackers stormed the minority Shiite Madinat-ul-Ilm mosque in the middle-class Gulshan neighbourhood during evening prayers late on Monday.
One of the assailants died in a gunbattle with police while the other blew himself up and the third sustained a serious head injury in a fall, Jamil said.
Hospital officials said the man was unconscious but in stable condition.
Police believe his survival could be the key to the investigation into suicide bombings.
Two worshippers and one policeman also died in the attack, while 21 people, four of whom were in a critical condition, were hospitalised.
Angry protesters went on the rampage after the attack, setting fire to two gas stations and a number of vehicles in addition to the KFC outlet.
It is unclear why the restaurant was targeted, although it is heavily associated with the United States. and rioters in Pakistan typically attack symbols of Washington while on a rampage. Anti-US feeling grew in Pakistan after President General Pervez Musharraf allied the country with Washington in the war on terror after September 11 2001.
The attack on the mosque came just three days after 19 people, most of them Shiites, died in a suicide bomb blast at a Muslim shrine near the capital Islamabad.
Thousands of Shiite and majority Sunni Muslims have been killed in sectarian bloodshed in Pakistan in recent years, with attacks including bomb blasts, suicide bombings and targeted killings. Last year 160 people were killed.
That's the irony of the whole thing. And that is precisely how these buzzards think (or don't think, as the case may be). Death to all the terrorists. They deserve nothing less than what they dish out to innocents themselves.
Iknow. I'm not sure we realize what kind of trouble we are truly in.
As long as there are muslims there will be terror. nothing will change that.
Wonder how many are working in the USA on H-1B visas?
The best way to stop barbarism is to either civilize or kill barbarians.
Last night CNN interviewed army higherups (after footage of recent Iraqi car bombs),and demanded to know how long the war would go on. They were told perhaps 3 to 9 years. CNN was shocked, shocked. The US public wouldn't put up with that! Why we're already bored.
One group of muslims kill another group of muslims and the muslim masses target an American franchise. Makes no sense to me, then again, we are talking about the muslim masses. Logic to them is like Kryptonite to Superman.
A lot of people think that the WOT would be or could be a short time thing. This I don't think so. In order to get free from these Islamic terrorist the thinking ideology has to be wiped out. That means that the traditions and the way that Muslims worship has to be changed. This may take 10, 20,50 or even a 100 years. They are now on a course to change by having some type of election and free choice in two of these countries but there are a few more countries that have to be dealt with as well.
Also, the free countries of the west are going to have to get tougher on these domestic Muslim terror supporters before anything can be called 'back to normal'.
....One group of muslims kill another group of muslims and the muslim masses target an American franchise......
??How do you say, "It's Bush's fault in Paki??
Islam is the terror problem. Islam stands for the subjugation or destruction of all that is not muslim. All muslims are guilty just as every member of the KKK is guilty, regardless of whether they participated in a killing or a cross-burning.
Islam is NOT are religion and is not civilized; and it is time that we stop affording islam the courtesy that we afford to religions among civilized peoples.
As a Kentuckian, I do.
As long as there are muslims there will be terror. nothing will change that.
Bingo! As long as Islam persists, there will be some percantage of "good Muslims", that actually follow the doctrines of their so-called "religion" as written. The ever-increasing death and destruction they wreak as they vie to out-do each other in getting into paradise is something that the civilized world should not and cannot tolerate.
Ergo, Islam should be, and must be ended.
Every imam, every mosque, every crowd on a "rampage" screaming "Death to ________" (fill in the blanks), every funeral for a terrorist attended by men in masks brandishing AK-47's ... *every* one of these should be on the receiving end of a Hellfire missle, or perhaps one of those small tungsten rods from a satellite.
Expensive, but a worthwhile endeavor.
Doesn't matter. The globalist free traitors will outsource to anybody, Iran, N. Korea, Islamofascists, as long as it makes them a few more pennies in profit. It's "the free market", don't you know...?
What they do is totally irrational, but fits with their uneducated, total irrationality. As you said, employees could also be Muslim or non muslim, just as patrons. Who is to know. They are attacking non-Muslims (in their minds) by attacking non-Muslim symbols. That is their logic, which is bankrupt to the core.
In many respects the medieval crusaders were right. Islam is a satanic religion in the same mold as the old religions of Baal, Molech, etc.
Hence the expression "Destroyed Michigan:.
Ever since 9/11, my friend, ever since 9/11.
The crusaders slept for awhile. They are awake now.
