The standing ovation goes to the Columbia FReepers. I surely agree about it being ingenious.....a perfect solution for all that paper. LOL!

Thanks, Kathy, for posting this.
It was so much fun! It really was a great lesson in "freedom of speech" for everyone. The peaceniks had the freedom of speech to distribute their literature, and the recipients had the freedom of speech to do with it as they chose. Many walked by the peaceniks and refused their literature. A few took it and kept it. Most who took the literature gave it to us to shred, as the peaceniks looked on in horror and disbelief. It was great. :)
Thanks to all the FReepers who helped make this happen. If necessary, perhaps it should be an annual event.

Good morning, JVb, this from one of the Operation Simply Shred folks.....
The shredders can be acquired from GreenLightOffice.com online. There are several companies that offer different styles online. If you run "battery powered paper shredder" in google you can find various prices and styles. These particular shredders had reverse, and a loop to carry on your belt. Cost? $8.00 each with coupon. The rest? Priceless.

It was great. :)This is the cool part......they got their freedom of speech, but seeing you exercise YOUR freedom of speech was, in their minds eye beyond the pale. Priceless, indeed!! You guys did a terrific job. Thanks for all you do to support our troops.
