BAGHDAD , Iraq Task Force Baghdad Soldiers provided medical treatment for two Iraqi children injured when a roadside improvised explosive device exploded in northwest Baghdad May 27.
The children were hurt when a bomb targeting the Soldiers' patrol detonated prematurely near an Iraqi vehicle. The Soldiers tended to the children's injuries and sent them on their way.
While the medics were helping the children, an Iraqi man brought his 4-year-old daughter to Soldiers providing security at the site. The little girl was bleeding from shrapnel wounds. The girl's father told the Soldiers his daughter had been playing with some unexploded munitions that blew up.
The Soldiers called in air support to rush the girl and her father to a military combat support hospital.
This is another example of how terrorist violence effects even innocent Iraqi children, said Lt. Col. Clifford Kent, a Task Force Baghdad spokesperson.
These terrorists rob everyday Iraqis a chance for prosperity, freedom and a better life.
Too busy trying to dig up new "tortures" in Abu Grahib or Gitmo. (Or fabricate them.)
When the old media can find a reporter that reports on a war like this one did,(click to listen),instead of sitting in a bar in a Baghdad hotel waiting for something to blow up,maybe I'll tune in.
P.S.,cronkite sucks.
True. Anything that would show our guys as good/beneficial/benevolent is never reported by the media. However if one GI even spits on the sidewalk you are going to see slow-mo footage of the act on the 10o'clock news. Sad some of the things the media does.
It's more than sad,the old media is getting people killed.
