I've never heard this speech before. Thanks for posting it! I never knew about Neal Boortz until a little over a year ago.

He is fun to listen. I do not always agree with him, but he makes me really think through an issue.

While I agree in principle with Boortz's admonition not to resent the rich, that rather ignores the fact that it is generally the rich man who is trying to take away your individual rights, and your personal ability to get ahead in life. George Soros, for starters--and the long list of gazillionaires who are always trying to put "progressives" and other fascists into power. I resent the heck out of them, using their gains to make sure I lose. The richest people I know are the most liberal, the most totalitarian-minded, are the swelled heads...and they, like Boortz, like talking about those terrible "theocrats."

Boortz, like Buchanan, can get things right once in a while. But Boortz is a libertarian, not a conservative.

I disagree. Yes their are always exceptions such as George Soros and most of Hollywood. However, I do not believe this is the norm of the majority of the wealthy.

To me Boortz has way more credibility than Pat. I tend to agree with him more often then disagree. Moreover, I have not found any politician, personality, etc.... that I agree with 100% of the time.

The problem I have with libertarians is that their ideology starts and stops with their tax bill and their indignation over illegal pot. They have no metaphysical sense outside their own pocketbooks or lifestyles...Boortz is pro-abortion and pro-euthenasia...(or, rather, he doesn't think the nation has any business interfering with murders of convenience where the victims can't hire a lawyer)...and, he's a lawyer...

So, as I'm no fan of Pat--I put Boortz about at the same credibility...

I would have loved to have ben able to see the looks on the faculty's faces during Neal's speech.

This is really enjoyable reading. However, I will never forget that Neal Boortz was a supporter of the popular Pinellas County Republican Michael R. Schiavo. That alone negates much of what he writes.
