I say this with some knowledge having worked for the State Department for almost 30 years and the federal government for 36. Career bureaucrats barely tolerate the thin veneer of political appointees who supposedly run the executive branch. The most popular and well-liked are those who go along to get along. I view Bolton's opposition by the bureaucracy as a plus, not a negative.

Thanks for the information, and I am glad to hear that about Bolton---I don't like "go along, to get along" people in any facet of live, but as politicians it can be dangerous...
So do we who have watched State, DOD and others over the years. There's too much covering their tails to be effective in what they are suppposed to be doing.
