Most racing sports do not adjust for the driver's weight. For example, Robbie Gordon would never be considered for Formula One for two reasons. #1 He's not good enough. #2 He is about 50 pounds too heavy. If he doesn't like it he can diet.
What is NASCAR to do? What if a 300 lb. guy wants to drive, do all other cars have to carry an extra 100+ lbs. of ballast?

Why hasn't Robby been complaining about Jeff Gordon for the last 13 years? Jeff's stats say he weights a good 50 pounds lighter than Robby. I guess that explains why he's won a few championships - the driving has nothing to do with it!
