Tehran, 27 May (AKI) - Hojatolislam Gholam Reza Hasani, a representative of Iran's supreme spiritual leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in Iranian Azerbaijan, has no doubts as to who to vote for in the next presidential elections on 17 June.
"You need to vote for Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani," said Hasani. "This way we will finally be able to have for ourselves the atomic bomb to fairly stand up to Israeli weapons," said Hasani.
"Freedom, democracy and stupidities of this type cannot be carried over to any part, and these concepts are out of sync with the principles of Islam," said Hasani, the imam who led Friday prayers in the main city of western Iranian Azerbaijian.
"Islam always spoke with the sword in the hand and I don't see why now we have changed attitudes and talk with the other civilisations."

The only problem with that idea is that while Islam has always spoken with a sword in hand, America has usually spoken with a gun.
As anyone who saw the first Indiana Jones movie can tell you, some nutcase with a sword is no match for someone with a gun.

I have said it before and I'll say it again (but of course I don't have to because the Muslims already do) that Islam is fundamentally incompatible (being of Fascist orientation) with Western Democracies.
They will never like us, and are unreliable partners, confusing kindness with weakness...and the sooner that our apparently brain dead State Department understands this...and then acts accordingly, the better off everyone will be.
We mistakenly think that we can buy off Muslim terrorists by regime change, or by shoveling money at them by the boat load, but this is illusory, at least in the near term.
Perhaps when and if the younger generations become more educated and start to assume both economic and political influence...things might change.
But don't expect that to happen while youthful minds are continuously being poisoned by the hateful clerics and imams.

Too bad there isn't a way to dupe them into slaughtering themselves en masse. I mean, other than our military mowing them down, or them goin' 'splodey dope to get virgins.

In my opinion, all we would have to do is not help them with funding on any level (including humanitarian) in order for them to self destuct. They are largely composed of extremely ignorant masses (mostly very young), haven't contributed anything of substance in the way of art, mathematics, science, or culture since their acceptance of their false prophet Mohammed. They do not know how to look forward, only backward to their past glories when they controlled vast territories under Suliman the Magnificent and are incessently ingrossed in essentially tribo-religious warfar.
