Yes, the puritanical left. Feminists are the loudest critics of beauty contests. If in power, they would eliminate them. They also want to castrate all men--turn them into eunuchs without any instinctual connections to life.

A woman's power used to lie in her feminine charms. A nice figure gives a woman great influence over a man. But the feminists don't need that. So burn their bras and make men ashamed of being men. Then the manly-looking women can take charge and rule.

What, you looked at my breast? That's sexual harrassment and I will sue you, demand money, and get a job promotion because you are an oppressive, dirty man with a healthy instinctual response to life.

The feminst's radicalism has nothing to do with puritanicalism, it's anger over the percieved subjugation of women at the hands of men over the centuries. While in some cases, like in the Muslim world, their anger is justified, there have been examples of matriarchies who persecuted the males of their societies, but not on an equal scale.

Feminists would outlaw beauty pageants not because of prudishness, but because in their eyes it is the continuation of women's objectification at the hands of slobbering males who only see value in their sexuality.

Clearly our views are different on this, and I don't want to argue over it. IMO we're just sharing opinions =)
