COLUMBUS Federal and state authorities are pursuing criminal and civil charges against Tom Noe for allegedly misappropriating $10 million to $12 million from the states rare-coin investment.
Franklin County Prosecutor Ron OBrien said yesterday that he has reason to believe Mr. Noe, a prominent Toledo-area Republican fund-raiser and rare-coin dealer, has misappropriated more than $10 million in state assets.
I have reason to believe it is more than just missing assets or lost assets or otherwise, said Mr. OBrien, a Republican. I have reason to believe there is actual misappropriation of state funds involved ... Im talking about conversion for personal use.

What is the state of Ohio doing collecting coins?
I think he is a Republican! </snicker>
On the contrary, I think *several* heads will roll before this is all over.
And rightly so. This whole thing has smelled bad since the Toledo Blade broke the story.
Bob Taft was even backing him until he learned a little more about the case and now even he is demanding an explanation. More than an explanation is needed here, somebody needs to do some serious jail time.
Ohio is going to hell in a handcart -- I ought to know -- I live here! We have two RINO good-for-nothing-but-appeasing-the RATs-senators; a RINO good-for-nothing-but-raising-taxes governor; and now this! No wonder the state has no money and is operating in the red. They were investing in gold doubloons!

Director of Workers Comp has resigned. Breaking.
The arrival of Governor Blackwell can't come soon enough!
I'm sure glad Senator Harris did not forget to include horses.
He included them after the barn door was closed.
I'm surprised there isn't more interest in this story here. It could change the political landscape in Ohio.
