I would think it'd be best to tackle them at the border, no? ;o)

"The simple fact is America's immigration system is broken," McCain said. "For far too long, our nation's broken immigration laws have gone unreformed, leaving Americans vulnerable." "Unreformed"?!? Traitor McCain is at it again!
"Unenforced" is the word that belongs in that sentence.

What was that old saying back in WWII as the soldiers marched out to turn back the Nazi hordes?

Putnam said that even with the recent Senate vote on agriculture workers, "the prospects are dim" for passing meaningful immigration reform.
The parties are split on the far right and left, and passage of the Real ID Act on its own could remove leverage for more comprehensive reforms, he said.

Memo to dimwit lawmakers:
You stop them at the borders, first, with whatever force is necessary. THEN, every undocumented worker that you find gets deported immediately, and the employer of the illegal should serve a year in jail.
My way may not totally halt the problem, but it'll put one hell of a dent in it.

Dang if they want busy work just go kiss a few babies and shake hands. You don't need to constantly "reforming" things to be productive.
What did Hemingway say? "Never mistake motion for action"
Just enforce the laws. Heck read the laws! You might see that they are fine and just need to be enforced.

Well, no kidding. Let's see, he was a representative for four years, and he's been a Senator for twenty. What the heck has he been doing about it? Just think, he replaced Barry Goldwater.

First and foremost--Deportation. Afterwards, setup firing squads at the border.

I don't think legislators are "unsure" of what they want. The liberal ones are just unsure of how to impose what they want over the will of the voters.

"Congress is debating legislation that would entice illegal immigrants to step out of the shadow economy . . ."ENTICE? How about FLUSHING them out by enforcing the laws and have them step out of our country? That's a start.

It's called LEGAL immigration stupid. First you have to obey our laws and apply at the . . .

Here's a question. We're planning on getting an addition on our house. What's the best way to ask a contractor if his workforce are legal citizens?

If they are here illegally then they are un-uniformed enemy combatants. They need to be dealt with as the geneva convention decrees (shot as spies).
Shoot enough of them and the rest will try to come over legally. Problem solved

They should start with the word "illegal" and simply enforce the existing laws.

This guy needs to put the crack pipe down. How in the world to you get someone, who is now enjoying ALL the benefits of our left-wing social programs system, to volunteer to pay for it?
It's the border stupid. CLOSE IT!
This is the top issue facing the country in my opinion, and will GREATLY influence my (and my family's and relatives) vote. Do you hear that, my "so called" representatives in Congress?
