I'm glad it lost on all accounts. I couldn't even watch the awards. Right, I remember comments on how he 'saved' Americans from their puritanical roots and helped educate us prudish Americans. I generally like Ralph Fiennes, too, (and your pun!) and was disappointed to see him in it, as the media gleefully reported how 'stars' jumped at the chance to be a part of this movie dramatizing an important turning point in our history with the given it would advance their careers. Liam Neeson said something like that, too, on a talk show. Ugh.
But it certainly does illustrate just how perverted and twisted our society has become.
