Howard Dean: Cut the 'Psycho' Some Slack-(BAM!..right in the chops!..which Howlin' Howie deserves!)
CHRONWATCH.COM ^ | MAY 27, 2005 | MATTHEW HOLMES

If liberals can call George W. Bush a ‘loser’ and Tom DeLay a ‘criminal’ with no evidence to support their claims, then at a minimum Howard Dean has qualified himself as an authentic ‘psycho.’

In the latest chapter of “The Name Game,” Dean confused Osama bin Laden with Saddam Hussein, unintentionally grouped himself with Republicans as “evil,” and shocked America with the revelation that Tom DeLay is a fugitive from justice.

And that was all in one interview. Imagine what would happen if anyone actually listened to him for more than thirty minutes.

NBC host Tim Russert asked Dean to explain his constant characterization of Republicans as ‘evil.’

Dean replied that Republicans were evil because they have told the American people lies. When asked to name one, the DNC Chairman said, “(Lies…) such as the weapons of mass destruction, which we have all known about.”

“Well, you said there were weapons of mass destruction,” Russert noted.

To which, Dean responded, “I said I wasn’t sure, but I said I thought there probably were.”

Welcome to the Dark Side, Dr. Dean, where ‘evil’ lurks around every corner.

Russert didn’t press Dean further on the issue, either because he is sympathetic to liberals or because he knew he wouldn’t have to. In typical fashion, the walking, talking, MoveOn.org commercial was just getting warmed up.

Dean continued, “But the thing that really bothered me the most, which the 9-11 Commission said also wasn’t true, is the insinuation that the President continues to make to this day that Osama bin Laden had something to do with supporting terrorists that attacked the United States. That is false.”

Imagine thinking such a stupid thing! Osama bin Laden involved in 9/11? Only stupid conservatives could be crazy enough to believe such an imbecilic theory! And to think liberals call President Bush the dumbest man in America. But wait, there’s more.

“Is it wrong to send people to war without telling them the truth? And the truth was Osama bin Laden was a very bad person who was doing terrible things, but that Iraq was never a threat to the United States. That was the truth. “

Al-Jazeera later aired a purported message from Osama, in which the Al-Qaeda leader was rumored to have said, “Why didn’t anyone tell me I was the president of Iraq?”

Russert also asked Dean to clarify (read: make a bigger ass out of himself) his comments about Texas congressman Tom DeLay, including Dean’s assertion that DeLay “ought to go back to Houston where he can serve his jail sentence.”

Of course, my first question was, why would DeLay go back to Houston, when he could go to New Hampshire, to Vermont, to South Carolina, to Maine, to Iowa, to North Dakota, to California, to Idaho, to Oklahoma, to Louisiana, to New York, to Arizona, or to Massachusetts—HEEEE YAHHHHH!!!?

People new to politics might ask themselves, “Don’t you have to commit a crime in order to go to prison?” These same people will be utterly confused by liberals’ position on gun control.

The first rule in the liberal playbook is that being an anti-abortion, gun-owning conservative is a felony.

So forget that the allegations against Tom DeLay pale in comparison to the travel activities of scores of Democrats. In fact, a study just released by PoliticalMoneyLine.com, found that the top ten trip-takers in Congress are all Democrats. Strangely, ‘felon’ Tom DeLay is 121st on this inmate list.

Of course, having your integrity attacked by Howard Dean is much like having Trent Lott challenge your courage or Charles Manson question your sanity.

Russert then asked Dean if he was a hypocrite for sentencing DeLay—who has not been charged (or even formally accused) with committing a crime—while disputing the otherwise unanimous opinion that Osama bin Laden was guilty of murdering 3,000 innocent Americans on 9/11.

“I’ve resisted pronouncing a sentence before guilt is found,” Dean said of bin Laden during the 2004 Democratic primary campaign. “I still have this old-fashioned notion that even with people like Osama, who is very likely to be found guilty, we should do our best not to, in positions of executive power, not to prejudge jury trials.”

But for Tom DeLay, only a trip to Guantanamo Bay will satisfy Dr. Dean.

Unfortunately, Russert did not ask Dean if he knew that Osama was the tall guy with the long beard, while Saddam Hussein was Iraqi dictator standing in his underwear in all the recent tabloid photos.

The only thing missing from this circus act was an appearance by Ted Kennedy in the NBC studio to explain to Dr. Dean that Osama bin Laden was actually the freshman Senator from Illinois, not the Iraqi tyrant.

Liberals are just oodles of fun when you can get them talking about things they have no clue about—like war, guns, or killing terrorists.

Fellow left-wing Democrats like Barney Frank have begun lecturing Dean on some of his comments, which is a telling sign for sure. When even liberals think you’re crazy, the straightjacket can’t be far away.

I, for one, feel Howard Dean’s pain. You’d be a little loony too if you had to wake up every morning forced to deal with the reality that you lost to John Kerry.

Perhaps we should cut the ‘psycho’ some slack.

LOL! Well then, I guess you "probably" lied, huh Howard?

What a tin-plated idiot. I only hope he stays DNC Chairman for a good long time. I want him to run the Democratic Party DEEP into the ground.

I, for one, am really, really glad the good doctor is no longer writing prescriptions.

He might want to consider getting some prescriptions.

I saw the MTP last Sunday with this A$$ on for the hour. It would have been very, very amusing were it not so frightening and depressing. As Dan Quayle once said - A mind is a terrible thing to lose.

Can you imagine this guy in a knock-down drag-out with Ted "Splash" Kennedy?

He might want to consider getting some prescriptions.

I've got what he needs right here-

I draw the line at administering it, though.

The fact that the gimmicrats have this lunatic as their leader tells me that they are nuts, or think that the collective IQ of the American electorate is negligible.

Yeh. But I can't imagine him finding a real doctor who would be willing to take him as a patient.

Dean and McCain have the same no-neck, stiff, forced-smile about them. In fact gray Dean a little and they could be siblings.
