McCain: What a very little man.

In more way than one. I'm still wondering when he was elected majority speaker of the senate.

Frist should make the 14 senatorial thugs squirm by calling for a constitutional rules determination on the senate floor and call for a vote; even if it is defeated by the 14.

At the same time he should make it known that if the vote is defeated he will tender his resignation as majority speaker. Of course he won't because the pay for majority speaker is more, he gets a bigger office and has a special parking assignment.

Why should Frist take the fall for this and McCain get a pass?

Frist should tell McCain that he's no longer on any committees of any importance. He is no longer the chairman of anything. And that McCain should stop calling himself a "Republican" Senator from Arizona. Send him to go sit with Jeffords.

As for the other six, let them know that if they don't support getting an up or down vote on all of the nominees pending, they could be next.

And this isn't about McCains voting record, or even his making deals across the aisle. It's about going behind the backs of the leadership and stabbing them in the back. It's about not knowing (or caring) what was offered to Frist and not making sure that he at least got as good a deal as was offered to any other Republican. That's why McCain should be punished.
