Six or seven years from now...I'll check in on this. I do not believe you can judge ANY president before they are no longer president.
Sometimes, the things that seem the smartest at the moment are notand the things that seem downright stupid at the time appear pretty prescient. Emotions are for now, but consequences are forever.
That being said...not very many people have been proved brilliant by misunderestimating GW. The man is almost unbelievably patient. (Obviously more patient than most of us) And he works harder than it looks. I would never bet against him at this point.
Oh...and he has an uncanny knack for being very politebut I'm not sure I would necessarily describe him as nice.

Well said. And it may be that President Bush will usher in a new era of traditional conservatism. I am optimistic even though things never seem to move fast enough.
