I'd like to see them fight it out. We've given the judiciary a lot more power over our lives than it used to have. It can no longer be seated anonymously.
Since judges have been given increased power, let's crank up the politics every time one needs to be seated.

At this point I am so happy that Priscilla Owen was finally confirmed. McCain will not be the GOP nominee - and neither will Bill Frist at this point after he sold out. I want pro life Ben Nelson of Nebraska to explain why he voted against Owen and to explain why he remains in the Party of Infanticide.

Great article nails it IMO.
Talk about the pubs winning some sort of political advantage in this filibuster 'deal' is just wishful thinking.
IMHO, the pubs will not win a PR battle staged by the dems and their accomplices in the MSM, if the pubs have to rely on tricks and 'secret plans' and deals to carry it out...too complicated.
They can however, IMO, win the long term PR battle by standing firm on principles...and using the conflict as a means of educating the people on the Constitution.
Knowledge is the only thing that will save this Republic from the dangers of ignorance or demagogue based popular rule as envisioned by the founding fathers.
