I disagreed with the comprimise, but it SHOULD NOT SPLIT THE PARTY...if it does, the Dems really did win.

I'm all for party unity but I am also in favor of party discipline. When you have a loose cannon like Mccain stirring up dissent at the exact time you are about to remove the only weapon your enemy has (other than the MSM) you have to eliminate or punish the traitor. If we shift to the left on things and compromise our core values then we will cease to be in power as well.I think what Frist and the boys need to do is remove funding from RINO campaigns and stop the goodies from going to the districts. Send them to Jeffords land.

Agree...and for me, McCain is the Rhino of all Rhinos (to go along with Olympia Snow).

But the discipline should be handled "in house," with as little media attention as possible (good luck, there). We don't need another third party Perot taking conservative votes away in 08...we could wind up with another Clinton...Ugh.
