What the filthy fourteen have done is the exact equivalent of what unelected judges do when they take deicisons not based in the inalienable right concept out of the hands of the people and their elected represntatives.

They sour the debate, remove it from the public square and create enmity on all sides in their wake. It really is amazing how the founders of this country recognized that way back when and the elite in this country are oblivious to it now.

I'm still not convinced that this wasn't a legislative defeat for the RATS. Without this deal, the vote on cloture today probably would have been no different from previous attempts.

We're all wringing our hands, pointing fingers, withholding donations to the RNC, yet the judicial confirmations are starting to proceed.

We'll just have to see if the Democrats will raise the "extreme circumstances" argument. They might not.

So a minority of 14 senators are dictating to the remaining 86? Now the CBC is complaining that a minority coup took place. What ever happened to the rights of the majority?
